Why do people have such boring taste in TV?

Agents of Shield is the same, i'm enjoying that they have booted the Asian Mary Sue character for whatever reason but I still remain uninvolved

Uh, did I miss something?

Agent May has taken a back seat this season.

Since online streaming is a thing and since my tv is connected to my PC I have yet to watch normal tv program. There is just no reason for that. I can see whatever I want whenever I want without any advertisement. It's exactly how it has to be. Awesome.

Not that I watch a lot, but if I do then it's by my rules.

in fact my only thought watching the show was that one of the young ladies would make an excellent Wonder Woman physically.

Then here's a fun fact - when Joss Whedon was developing a Wonder Woman show for NBC, one of those young ladies was actually going to play Wonder Woman. They made a pilot episode but it never aired.

Joss Whedon wasn't doing the TV show, he was working on a movie. He cast his choice for Wonder Woman as Maria Hill in Avengers. David E. Kelley did the tv series.

Then again both the Shield, Breaking Bad and a number of other shows have broken this ennui, and provided unexpected plot directions and great entertainment.

Don't you know Sturgeon's law? 90% of everything is crap. True every time. If you actually want a good 'superhero' show, give the new Daredevil by Netflix a try - I find it to be a very interesting take on the formula (altho, funnily enough, the show flows a lot more like a comic book than TV series, so it's 'unique' in how it actually reverted back to source material if I'm making any sense here)

You're absolutely right, of course. My bad. I accidentally combined the two attempts in my head because I was connecting it to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. which is a Whedon show. Either way, one of those young ladies was going to play Wonder Woman. :)

That's a weird list, it has some current cancellations (Heroes) but some of the renewals are ancient- Person of Interest is likely cancelled and has wrapped filming, its current season just hasn't been shown yet. And it has Peaky Blinders being Netflix, which is a definite stretch.

I believe Heroes was always slated as a miniseries, and was not expected to come back for a second season.

I believe the contingency if it was successful was to have it continue as an anthology series as was originally intended, with a new cast each season.

Always liked cowboy films.  Watched Bone Tomahawk the other day and just didn't get it.  It seems certain writers and directors these days are only interested in getting a reaction from the viewer, I stopped watching Walking Dead for this reason, you might as well just make a show where a military force break into people's houses, grab their family pets, and drag them out into the road to be run over by trucks, just to get a reaction from the owner.

I guess bone Tomahawk is defined by *that one scene* and nothing else, which is the problem. Also the plot had holes as big as they can get, which didn't helped much either.

I could see where they were going with the film - an homage to frontiersman and their courage.  But a film should be about entertaining it's audience.  The tone of that film struck me the same as the tone in the Walking Dead, where you have this impassive, unrelatable and tone deaf recounting of a story that every so often throws unnecessary violence and gore at you in an attempt to...do what?.

Either it's a documentary that explicitly shows violence for the academic purpose of showing you what torture methods were used in the dungeons of medieval England, or it's entertainment - which if delivered in the above mentioned tone - you have to question who would be 'entertained' by watching it.  Just, ugh.
