How do I access Caed Nua?

 

Also I seem to have missed out on a quest and a party member...

Also seems to be quite slow at "approval from a moderator before this post is shown" - as this is my third post in 24 hours and no one can see it until it's been approved.

Did you talk to the hanged dwarf woman in Gilded Vale? She gives you the Old Watcher quest.

 

Are you sure you're checking the right statue? Durance (the guy by the statue, but he's human) is in Magran's Fork, directly south of Gilded Vale. Caed Nua is two maps east from that location.

Yes, been there twice now and he's not there. Even slept there encase he only appears at night?

Maybe you need to talk to the dead lady in Gilded Vale first.

you're correct.. after I did that, I picked up 2 companions, one of them by the tree and the other by the statue in Magran's Fork - thanks

There is a third companion in Gilded Vale as well. You will find him standing in front of the inn.
