Journal Clicking Issue

hekele

Question

I can't seem to actually use the journal. No matter what I try to click on it just goes to the next tab along the top and shows no data. I've attached a video.

I do not have any Unity folder in either the System Library's Logs folder or my own Library's Logs folder.

System specs attached.

I figured out if I right-click on the categories I'm able to use the journal, which is at least a temporary work-around. However, I'm noticing another click-related problem with inventory. When I click on things such as my stash or an item in someone's inventory, the click does work, but it also switches from one character to the next. This creates a problem when I attempt to equip an item as I have a character active, click on the item I want to equip and it moves to the next character. I can work around that by clicking the previous character first, however, when I then click on the appropriate item slot, it switches to the next character AND THE ITEM DISAPPEARS. It's no longer in the inventory, it is not equipped on any character and it's not in the stash. I've lost a cloak and two rings before I figured out what's going on and at this point I just can't equip anything that isn't a weapon. I have video, but apparently it's too big to upload.

I had the exact same issue as hekele. I posted a more detailed explanation in the thread titled "cant read my quests". The shortened version is that after trying a LOT of different and time consuming things, it turns out that all I had to do was reset the control in the control panel to the default settings. I think two keys got bound to the same action or something, so the game would freak out when I would go into my journal and inventory. Especially since hekele has described the issue I was having perfectly, this might be the solution that you've been looking for.
