Mikey Dowling 1,236
Hey, everyone! If you couldn't make it out to this year's San Diego Comic Con, the video of our panel has gone up today. If you want to see the process of bringing an area from concept to in the build check it out! http://www.vrideo.com/watch/EqAVviu Enjoy! 1 Quote On Twitter @MikeyDowling
TheRealDrMcCoy 31
The contents of the panel nonewithstanding, but am I the only one who thinks using a 360° "VR" camera to film a panel at a convention is the most counterproductive use of technology ever? It's a panel. I don't want to watch the people in the audience. Or the floor. Or the ceiling. Or the door where people come in. I want to see the panelists. That are now blurry and awkwardly projected, and so small you can't actually observe their facial expressions when they speak. And there are slides in the video! Great! Only that they're too small and blurry to read.

In addition, my computer, which is a MacBook Pro with 8GB RAM that's only 1 year old and plays PoE quite playably for the most part, doesn't really play this video acceptably. I was starting to accept the subpar framerate I got at just 1080P, but then starting just before 6 min, big portions of the audio started to drop out, making it impossible to keep following what was being said. IDK if this is just my computer's issue, or if it's a fault of the video itself.
Cluas 77
yeah, interesting, but sound was bad, and couldn't see the slides ... Good idea to work on an area in public
