DVD version unable to launch "Failed to load mono"

After waiting patiently for the physical disc, I install off the DVD and get this error when trying to launch the game:

 

Failed to load mono

Details:

Unable to load mono library from "C:/Program Files (x86)/Obsidian Entertainment/PillarsOfEternity/PillarsOfEternity_Data/Mono/mono.dll" (error = 126).

Will the patcher, once avilable, solve this issue with the non-steam DVD?

I've searched and found this is something related to unity and 64bit version of the game and tried several things reffering to C++ versions... Still can't play the game. Since the game never starts I don't have a log/crash dump to post.

 

Any help?

Give it a little time, jodokast. When I first put through your thread, I did a search and I only found one post that seemed to pertain to the same issue. I did one again and it's still the only one:

I did multiple searches, but only one yielded the same result from 'load mono,' although several threads cited the term 'mono.'
