Loading Issues with Cilant Lis

RoflyDerpy

Question

I bought this game today and I had a problem with the loading screen of Cilant Lis, I wait but nothing happens

I retried it 4 different times, but it still doesn't work

Does someone know how to fix it?

Thanks in advance

Hi RoflyDerpy,

Can you include your system specs and our output.log for us to look at? (You'll need to upload them to a 3rd party hosting site like dropbox.) You can use this thread to find where the files are located: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/72439-must-read-how-to-report-an-issue/ .

Got a bug :cat:?? Help us squish it!

  • In your report Include your *save file* (C:\Users\YourNameHere\Saved Games\Pillars of Eternity) and ...
  • PC: *output_log.txt* (In your PillarsOfEternity_Data folder)
  • Mac/Linux: *Player.log* (In your Unity folder)

  • Thank you for your help!

Do you also have a save game?

Reading the log file it seems it can not find one file.

System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path "C:\Users\AppData\LocalLow\Obsidian Entertainment\Pillars of Eternity\CurrentGame\AR_0701_Encampment.lvl".

Have you tried to verify the game files via steam?

Yep, that's a good suggestion Aurelio. If your on steam try verifying the integrity of game cache. Right-click "Pillars of Eternity" > Properties > Local Files > click on "verify integrity of game cache". It will take some time and hopefully solve your issue. If you bought Pillars somewhere else, try reinstalling the game.

Not really. You could try to scan you hard disc for defects just to be sure.

But you played the game and have some savegames? One you load before you are trying to load Cliant Lis?

The path error message above is a bit strange: Seems you have no userprofile on your pc?

Mine looks like this where "userprofile" is my account name..

C:\Users\USERPROFILE\AppData\LocalLow\Obsidian Entertainment\Pillars of Eternity\CurrentGame

I can't even save, I mean I click on the 'Save' button but it doesn't work

>Mine looks like this where "userprofile" is my account name..

Here's mine :

\\ -PCÉ\Users\AppData\LocalLow\Obsidian Entertainment\Pillars of Eternity

But the folder 'Pillars of Eternity' is empty

>You could try to scan you hard disc for defects just to be sure.

I'll try it later on

Thank you
