[1.04] Linux Mint - Areas do not always display correctly after loading

Question

SYSTEM SPECS
Game Version: v1.0.4.540 / GoG
Operating System: Linux Mint 17.1 / Xfce 64
Processor: 4x Intel® Core i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz
Memory: 4001MB
Resolution: 1280x1024
OpenGL Renderer: Gallium 0.4 on AMD CAICOS
Monitor Number: just the one!

CURRENT BEHAVIOUR
After a map loads* there is a chance the area landscape will display in a large pixelated fashion. (*either loading from the main menu or in-game by clicking a map transition icon)

Larger maps are more likely to display incorrectly. If the game is reloaded, there is a chance the map will load with correct display. However, Copperlane will not load with correct display even with reloading the save file before or after entering Copperlane. I suspect this is from Copperlane's large size relative to the smaller maps in early game.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR
After a map loads I will see the lovely landscape without big blocks. :) (Unless those big blocks are pillars! :p)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE ISSUE
Load attached save file.
See pixelated map.
(The problem is likely specific to something in my system: graphics processing or operating system or such.)

BUG SEVERITY

Near game-breaking. (You could still technically bumble around, interacting with blocky maps with much difficulty.)

EDIT - For extra determination while fixing this bug, listen to this wicked violin sonata. It's kick ass! :3

EDIT 2 - Updated Dropbox link.
