One handed style doesn't work while using a weapon and shield.

So the build isn't optimal but then, solo is more about item use.

Dayummmmm!

I was wondering this the whole game. Thank you for giving me the answer.

So yeah, it was a mistake from me. Nice no know that I can make a better build now :)

you are lucky, you are rouge...

my monk in potd cannot shadowstep...and talos will walk always in direction you were running on map, when he donot see you. means, when you outtank a add...he will find you and start his damage cast on you.

i'm pissed about talos at the moment, have to restart act 4 and switch from plate to light armor, and reload bow talent, than i can shoot kite the encounter.

Being Rogue makes the fight easier.

Still, did you try to use the small technique i use where i move my character right before the fight starts ?

Because if you do that, you basically 1v1 Thaos without taking the aggro on the judge!

Try it

That what i see...sword and shild...my monk worked until lvel 12 in PotD without ever touching a shild into a fight.

And this fight seems to force you to a shild in PotD.

I have a "backup" save and try to do act 4 with other level 12 talent. lets se how it works.

O_O. Pala should be super hardcore.

I honestly think wiz is the best class for this fight. He can pretty much instakill anything with gaze of agradan if it lands, has super powerful hastening spell that would allow both kite and cast faster, can protect himself from elements nicely, has extra summons etc. Headsman has like 70 will so he can easily be confused and judge can be petrified. You can also boost your accuracy by at least 30 with eldritch aim and a scroll.

I wouldnt put much stock in a wiz for trial of iron though, I mean i havnt played aroudn that much with a wiz but i think chanters are the best :D

Wiz is overall quite sensitive to errors and thus doesn't look like the best class for trial of iron solo, but is pretty competitive I'd say. I'm still not convinced it's doable legitimately at all. For regular solo though where you aren't punished for a single small error, he's one of the best classes. Also casters have probably the best power scaling so he's quite OP by the endgame. I don't have a wizard main, but I just tried to duo Thaos letting him kill my main and do it with the wizard. Must say he can take the fight pretty much head on.

well on my trial of iron im up to heritage hill, and ive cleared cliaban rilag. Im relatively confident going forwards as nothing ive encountered so far has been able to eat through my summon shield before i can replace it, my only problem is a lack of dps, but when i get the fire aura that should get much better because as it is ive put all my talents into being as tanky as possible, large shield, heaviest armor, shield and sword, cautious attack.

as a result mostly i rely on wearing the enemy down, however I can use level three scrolls so if the need arises i can nuke people.

Does this works on the latest patch (1.04)?

According to patch notes:

  • Game will now pause if you Alt-Tab during a cutscene in full screen mode.

Ok, that makes it more complicated. You can't alt+ Tab anymore, but there is still a frame before Thaos speaks. That means that you still can pause the game here, but you'll have to train it a bit more.

And sure, i'll make a screen on my journal. But i don't think i did anything special.

Resolved all the quests before ACT 3 (or almost, I couldn't beat Cain for example). Followed the Doemmel house because the quests are the easiest, tried to resolve the quests the longest way possible because they bring you better reputation most of the time.

But i don't think those reputation influence so much the game in the end. I didn't really find a real intrest in it, except a price reduction in the shops, but that you don't really need when you play solo 'cause you're rich as hell.
