Where can I find my Stronghold Visitors?

I checked the main hall, the statue just allowed me to open up the stronghold interface.

 

According to the log I have a visitor a Fellow of St Waidwen, but when I go to the Stronghold this visitor is no where to be found, if I wait long enough they just leave.

 

Hopefully someone can help me find them!

I thought they were just next to the statue (NW, towards the entrance to the lower levels). But then I hardly had any visitors in my playthrough.

I've only had one visitor so far, and he was standing in the middle of the keep, roughly halfway between the front door and the statue.

Most can be found in the hall if not all. But you can't talk to them anyway. If the message is "blablabla visitor is selling x for []coins" or "blablabla visitor wants to sell his body to guard your keep" you will need to do it via the Reports tab or Recruitment tab respectivly in the Stronghold window.

Does anyone have the same problem? According to the diary I already had some visitors in my stronghold but I am never able to actually see them. They are not on the stronghold ground, not in the main hall, not in any other building. I searched for them several times. Is this a game glitch?

There are certain "visitors" (the follower of st. waidwen being one) that are announced as visitors (usually because you save them from the road), but they apear in the hireling menu instead of as physical visitors to your keep. If you hire them, they will show, but otherwise they may not be around.

 

Other than those types of visitors, visitors should appear in your great hall.

If you are resting inside of the main hall and you have a visit then you need to exit and enter the zone (main hall) again. If you don't then he won't spawn.

 

Some visitors are hirelings that you can recruit they will show up with a green text.

 

Some are "event" visitors. For example a merchant that asks you to escort him or pay him money.

Unfortunately they are not in the keep. Leaving and reentering the keep (or leaving and reentering the whole stronghold area) does not help. There are some important story characters that appear in the keep (for example: during the quest "A call to the court" where you have to defend your ownership of the stronghold) but other characters are not there... or they are there at first and then they dissappear.

 

An example: A guy called Geyda visits the stronghold. I can talk to him and he wants some help with his researches about souls. I give him a lot of money (2000 coins) so that he can catch some animals, and the stronghold activity log says something about waiting a few days until he returns. After waiting the requested amount of time the log says that he is back in the stronghold waiting for 8 days... but he isn't. He is nowhere to be found, and it seems that I have wasted 2000 coins for nothing. Oh, and he is no hireling. At least he is not on the list.

I have had the same thing happen.  It may be that they give you prestige / security, but it feels more like a bug.

Apparently with both Geyda and Azzuro, if you choose the option to pay them off, they'll randomly show up later when they're not supposed to.

same problem here. i've scoured the grounds for a 'prestigious visitor' named berolt - he is NOT in the keep (yes i have tried keaving and returning to the keep) or anywhere else NOR is he in the hireling menu.

 

so i would say a bug for sure.

As far as I know, prestigious visitors are not visible anywhere.

They just give you the stated amount of prestige. No action required.

 

And then get kidnapped and you'll have to send someone to rescue them.

At least previously this was not the case. At least three of the prestigious visitors, Berolt included, had dialogue and choices regarding their stay attached. The tooltip over the action further says that he's requesting an audience.

Today I have an event that stated that Solmar the Shackler has arrived requesting a prisoner to buy. However, I can only 'Pay off' or 'Send escort', without any option to actually sell him a prisoner (which I would like to do), and he (Solmar) can't by found anywhere.
