Constitution is useless on a cipher unless you intend to melee which is a bad idea.

"When the foul sore of envy corrupts the vanquished heart, the very exterior itself shows how forcibly the mind is urged by madness. For paleness seizes the complexion, the eyes are weighed down, the spirit is inflamed, while the limbs are chilled, there is frenzy in the heart, there is gnashing with the teeth."

why spread for per and res? those are tanker stats.

imo the optimal spread is 18 15 15 10 10 10 if you don't want to get negative modifiers. In cipher's case it's

Might: 18

Constitution: 10

Dexterity: 15

Perception: 10

Intellect: 15

Resolve: 10

Those stats are fine. Most builds are pretty viable. The Cipher has some of the best debuffs so I would suggest maxing Intellect to increase their duration.

If you want to just sit behind the lines and blast everything, then I would max Intellect, Dexterity, and Might at the expense of Perception and Resolve. It's more risky and micro intensive but very powerful.

For Cipher you need to max Int, Str, Dex.

I wouldn't recomend melee. First of all if you went to glasscannon, then it's easy to die there. Second of all proper Cipher will often cast something. Aoe, debuffs, CC. So there is not much reason to put self in melee danger and move all the time to avoid being targeted so you can cast safely.

I would leave melee to rogue which can kill things before geting killed and barbs which can become immune plus are more effective in packs.

From memory I run something like:

Might: 14

Constitution: 10

Dexterity: 10

Perception: 14

Intellect: 16

Resolve: 14

For weapon sets I wield a war bow and dualwield sword+ life draining stiletto, and he wears enchanted brigandine armor. Set like this I can either have him perform well as a ranged bowmen/caster or as a melee offtank/dps/caster. This way I can make due with only 1 tank (the fighter or paladin companion) and then me as offtank together with the pet of the ranger companion. Works well so far, the cipher is quite the interesting class I must say. I do play on normal difficulty only, so whether this works on higher difficulties I can't say.

Are the attributes for Cipher ok or crap?

They are not optimal, but they're not bad either. If you wanted to optimize, you'd be maxing out might, dex and int, but I don't think it's necessary to do so.

On normal you can play with closed eyes and mobs will still die :)

I would say that it's a waste of party slot if you build cipher as hybrid offtank/dps :) You are suppose to dps, to build concentration to cast spells.

I am playin at hard and doing fine with 1 tank + pet who helps to block way for mobs. Anyway, you could use DuranceKana or Pallegina for offtanking. Those are better for that job.
