Very concerned and confused about editions

Recommended Posts

I need help with this guys especially from Obsidian.

I pledged $25 when Obsidian launched their kickstarter campaign. Last year I decided to upgrade to Digital Fun Pack and paid additional $25.

The Digital Fun Pack includes following:

1 Digital Fun Pack

This tier includes:

  • Digital Downloadable Copy of Pillars of Eternity, DRM free for Windows, Mac, or Linux.
  • Kickstarter only in-game achievement and item.
  • Pillars of Eternity Kickstarter Backer Forum Badge.
  • Digital download of the Cooking with Tim Cookbook – An RPG-themed e-Cookbook.
  • Digital download of the making of Pillars of Eternity Documentary.
  • Digital Downloadable Soundtrack in MP3 and FLAC.
  • Digital Collector's Book.
  • Digital Novella by Chris Avellone.
  • Digital Campaign Almanac.
  • Kickstarter Exclusive In-Game Pet.
  • Digital High-Res Game Map.
  • Digital High-Res Concept Art Pieces.
  • Wallpapers for Multiple Monitors.
  • Ringtones.

However my order converted to Champion edition and it states that I will be getting the following:

Along with the base game, includes the Digital Campaign Almanac, Digital Original Soundtrack, the "Making Of" Documentary, Digital Hi-Res Game Map, Wallpapers, and Ringtones. Added bonuses include the Giant Miniature Space Piglet and Gaun's Pledge pre-order items.

So why would you (Obsidian) do this or was there a mistake?

I am confused and concerned!!

Devs are reading the forums, but it's a hectic period - you might want to email support to hail them for individualised assistance.

Every digital extra you're promised will be available to you via the backer portal, regardless of whether you'll also be getting it with your Steam or GOG edition.

eta: don't be concerned, you are going to get your stuff, it's all fine

From what I understand, you will still get all of those items you have pledged for via the backer portal when they are released. And since you are already getting all of that stuff from us,  they decided to give you the Steam edition that had as much of your stuff as well. Think of it more like you got a Steam upgrade at no charge, everything else you still get through the portal.
