Not exactly news, but the daily steam deal is awesome for everyone who loves point&click adventures...11 games and most of them are pretty good....too good for me to resist :blink:

Trying and to some effect maybe succeeding but they can never beat gold farmers. In my experience it will just lead to a price drop for the people who buy from gold farmers and in others it will open a new market for them too. (Example: WoW introducing gold for playtime will lead to even more gold farmers and lower prices on their end)

Don't see why this is an issue.

 

I don't either.  It doesn't have any effect on competitive balance whatsoever.  If someone wants to spend $5 to be able to do fatalities easier, more power to them.

Yes and no. Where they couldn't feasibly sell in-game currency for themselves (due to balance or fan backlash) they seem to just lower the real-money value by making it easier to obtain in-game.

Firstly, we would like to give you all our most heartfelt thanks for the support and feedback we have received since releasing Cities: Skylines roughly a month ago.

 

Great passion brings a lot of interesting questions, the main one being "how do we react to this?"

 

Today I am going to give you a bit of clarity of what to expect from our team the coming time. We appreciate your understanding and trust in us to deliver the best of experiences for our global community.

 

The next planned update for Cities: Skylines will be the most substantial to date, adding new features, gameplay tweaks, improvements and more fun stuff! Many of you know it as the "tunnels and wall-to-wall buildings update" that will eventually be added to the game for free.

 

As the update is a lot bigger than what we've previously released it's also going to be in development and QA for a longer time - meaning there's going to be at least a month before it's ready to be launched.

 

We take community feedback into consideration while we continue to work on this update. The team appreciates all the suggestions we have received so far so keep it coming!

 

Our two post-release patches have solved the vast majority of critical technical issues experienced by players. Most remaining issues either require a substantial amount of time to track and solve, are only appearing for a small number of users - or most commonly are caused by a person's mod usage.

 

Got a technical issue with the game? Please do not hesitate consulting our forums for workarounds or fixes - alternatively contacting our support department (a solution we recommend doing after you have checked the forums). Please see the instructions to reporting an issue to help us help you.

Actually I got beta key from my friend two weeks ago. I like few ideas how they spiced up the classic MOBA games, but somehow it feels very bland and boring to me for some reason :(

 

I play it only to finish my daily quest and then log off :(

The parasite that killed RTS games. But really, just an RTS like WC3 where you control one unit that can level up and has different abilities. Not sure if they have inventory.

 

Game usually plays with a map with lanes that NPC mobs march through and try to destroy your opponents' base, so you level up on these NPCs or the opposing team and get your hero to be powerful enough to win the game.
