Installation on external hard disk

Hi everybody,

I have a professional computer with back-up and my company doesn't really like games on back-up...

1 - Is it possible to install Pillars of Eternity on an external hard drive?

2 - Does Pillars of Eternity use C: to save some data, or do the data will be saved on the installed folder on the external hard drive?

Or do I have to buy a personal computer? ^^

If it's just a practical consideration for the load on the backup system you could install on an external HD and create a seperate steam library there. The saves go in the windows document folder by default. You can copy them if you want to use them elsewhere. No way of installing without putting stuff on the C drive and the windows registry so it can't be 'invisible' for anyone who cares to check.

Unless you change where your "presonal" user folder is by actually editing the registry (which is what I have done, so I don't ever need to worry backing it up when I reformat my C:/ drive).

How I have existed fills me with horror. For I have failed in everything - spelling, arithmetic, riding, tennis, golf; dancing, singing, acting; wife, mistress, whore, friend. Even cooking. And I do not excuse myself with the usual escape of 'not trying'. I tried with all my heart.

In my dreams, I am not crippled. In my dreams, I dance.
