Leferd
"Avatars and Signatures: Obsidian allows its users to associate a graphic image, or avatar, with their account. This image is displayed in posts underneath the user's name, and may be 64x64 in size, and may not display pornographic, indecent or otherwise inappropriate imagery. Users may be requested by the administrators or moderators to change this avatar at any time. Users may also create a signature that appears at the end of every post. Such signatures should remain at six lines or less of text without imagery, or at most two lines of text with imagery. All images, regardless of text configuration, must fit within a perimeter of 125 pixels high by 600 pixels long." http://forums.obsidian.net/index.php?app=forums&module=extras§ion=boardrules "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle
Tigranes
Yeah, it may be a size problem, or you can try using other extensions like .png. If you still have problems PM one of us mods the image you want to use and we can try and figure it out. Humanoid
If you're using a free image host, the link they give you is often to a webpage (with ads and whatnot), and you'll have to dig a bit more to get the actual image link. e.g. imgur.com/xxxxx instead of i.imgur.com/xxxxx.jpg L I E S T R O N GL I V E W R O N G

Marceror
Yeah, OE should totally let users attach a small graphic novel at the end of each of their posts, because that would be really efficient! Humanoid
"All images, regardless of text configuration, must fit within a perimeter of 125 pixels high by 600 pixels long." Those don't just exceed the limit, they're multiples of it. Seriously, I'd reconsider the need for one at all as they'd be pretty distracting even if scaled down. Tigranes
All of those images are too large - that is why you are seeing the error. As Leferd quoted, we limit images in signatures to 125x600. I don't think we resize automatically for sigs - and in any case, those images would become really squeezed. The reason is that nobody wants to scroll through a huge list of pictures every time someone posts something - it is annoying and ugly, no matter what the image in question is. You are of course free to use Paint, photoshop or whatever else to edit an image into the right size then use it in your signature. But you have to admit, those images are obnoxiously large. I imagined one or several at the end of every post you made, and hence, my probably not so supportive response.
