Dang, that looks like some lovely work.  Also, it's going to get so cease and desisted.  There is no chance in hell Big N allows this to happen.

Guys in recognition of the fact that today is the beginning of commemorations of WW1 I found this interesting FPS (??) called Verdun, its based around the historical and real  battle. I am a huge and avid fan of WW1 but I have no idea if this game is any good. So any opinions from people who have played it will be appreciated ?

Yellow card Bester, yellow card for spazzing out.

While i disagree with Bruce on almost everything, but even i did understand that he meant from the POV of a history-buff.

The least we can hope for is that it will give them some Ideas. They tried to implement some Majora's-Mask-like things in Twilight Princess but that didn't work out very well. I just sooooo wish that they would make a Zelda game that is as complex and mysterious as Majora's Mask. I miss that game so much, it's up there together with Fallout, Planescape: Torment and Arcanum in my 'Best Games of All Time' list. In the recent years, the closest thing I got to Majora's Mask was Deadly Premonition(and maybe Dead Rising).

There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.

Dropping your sword while approaching a target from a distance, only to get into melee range with said target then shoot the target with a rifle seems kind of bass ackwards.

Playable Ganondorf in Hyrule Warriors.

Kind of weird watching him killing his own minions.  I imagine there will be some kind of story where they're no longer his minions.

Mark Morgan track from upcoming Kickstarter-fueled adventure game STASIS:

It's *really* good. Really enjoy it.

Have to do a South African punt here, the developer is the only South African I know who lives in South Africa who develops games. I pledged towards this KS and then contacted him. He responded and invited me to come meet him at developers conference. He is a really nice guy but I only want to meet  him once I have played the game and I  have enjoyed it, but that shouldn't  be a problem as I like most games and generally always find some reason to be entertained :)

That is disgusting. Mario is forgetting his origin as a hero of the people, an intrepid adventurer who first conquered the world of video games in the name of Italian proletariats of the plumber variety. His betrayal of the revolution will drive him to the only end he deserves: an ice pick.

Mario was never a hero of the people, he was always a willing tool of the ruling class. What true advocate of revolutionary socialism would spend his time rescuing princesses, hmm? he should be setting their castles on fire and collectivising the ashes. He's a class traitor, a capitalist running dog and Mercedes Benz branding perfectly fits his true nature- I bet he isn't even Italian but is some sort of Brit putting on a 'comic' accent. Bloody Brits, don't get me started on that 'hilarious' Manuel from Fawlty Towers.

Pah, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario Brothers- clearly he has had a cult of personality and delusions of superiority for some time let alone an apparent obsession with aspirational pursuits such as racing; and in his true nature he dreams himself our master. He's not even mere petit-bourgois, he is an out and out class oppressor. No need for the ice pick, all that is needed is a good stout wall.

Oh come now, hasn't Mario proven enough times that he can obliterate solid brick with his bare hands (he uses his fist, not his head as is falsely believed my most)?  I would have figured he would have broken his hand many times over by now, so he's either hopped up on PCP, or he's got some kind of armored hand, maybe adamantium, like Wolverine, minus the claws.

Exactly!

They should have been Ferrari's or Fiat's.

You see, ever since the whole Doritos Locos Tacos thing, Taco Bell thinks they can do whatever they want.

A wall should work- he's a major video game character so he will be dealt with in the traditional way of such things, via an inescapable, unavoidable cutscene. And as everyone knows, video game characters mysteriously lose all their pre developed powers when a story critical cutscene comes along.

Main problem is that video game deaths tend not to be permanent, so extra vigilance may be required.

I hope Obsidian can have him on one of their games to do a few tracks.

Hellraid gameplay and developer commentary

Doesn't look much different from an Elder Scrolls game in my opinion, other than good animations.
