Hence NWN2, New Vegas and Armored Warfare forum links go off-site, but Stick of Truth, Alpha Protocol, Dungeon Siege and KoTOR2 forums are hosted locally. Interplay decided they smelled and so shut them down before going bankrupt. Some Black Islers went to Interplay, some wandered the desert. Bioware worked with Interplay on a couple of titles. The people from Black Isle wandered the wastelands for a while before consolidating as Obsidian. Bioware, remembering the names, have worked with Obsidian on a few titles. Neverwinter is not an original IP of either, various companies license various things, development can be outsourced, etc., etc., etc. Also, fun fact: Your username is displayed along with every post you make. I know, it's amazing, right? So we can all see your handle as though we were all magical telepaths! Some old timers probably do feel like Bioware is the Canadian girlfriend who's suddenly cut off all contact and won't answer your calls.
