I actually thought it was really good, but I would prefer a stand-alone full length Shazam one without Supes. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity. Its straight up gory. Superman/Shazam: Return of Black Adam wasn't that dark, but was part of the Warner Premiere series of PG-13 shorts and features, so its definitely darker than anuthing on JL.
