Broken Quest "O Canada" PS3

I had pre ordered the game off PSN and have been playing it since launch day without issue (except for not receiving the pre order bonus) until I came across this quest line, "O Canada" when I go to the Earl of Winnipeg to give him the letter he just talks to me about dire bear pelts, he doesn't give me a quest and it never goes into the cutscene.  

 

I have the latest version of the game, 1.01 and still can't get passed this. I even went back to an earlier save and still have the issue.

Really bummed about this as I was having a ton of fun with the game but now I can't progress.

One more person with this problem in the ps3 version... me... i'm stuck in this part of the game too

I would just like to add that I have the disc based XBOX 360 version, and have the same problem. This was the only place on the internet I could find regarding the bug.

All of my saves are beyond this point so I too am stuck, unable to advance.

This is far too deep in the game for me to replay my way back.

 

But again mostly just want obsodian to be aware its not a console specific problem.
