Digital copy = Steam key ?

Recommended Posts

I am the happy owner of this version (ok... when it's done ^^ )

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Boxed Collector's Edition of Pillars of Eternity

This includes:

[...]

Digital Downloadable Copy of Pillars of Eternity, DRM free for Windows, Mac, or Linux.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is this Digital Copy Steam compatible ?

As a good Steam user (all my games in the same platform is pretty cool to me) i'd like it... more simple.

An idea ?

You can redeem your digital copy either through GOG or Steam.

As long as you can provide Steam a valid CD Product Key it can add the game to your library. I myself have done this by buying some digital copies of games through Amazon and redeemed the product on Steam through the menu; Games -> Active a Product on Steam.

Will there be difference between GOG and Steam like trading cards, achievements etc. ?

GOG doesn't have an overlay or client like Steam does, so no cheevos, trading cards, etc. Not sure how they'd incorporate these things into a non-Steam game.

Don't worry, someone without the internet who runs only OS2/Warp will still complain. I don't know how. Probably via handwritten letter postmarked from a cave in Siberia.

Are you kidding? They probably won't use the metric system. It'll be a tele-ounce.

Oooh! OR they could carve it into a stale graham cracker.

Should we not start with some Ipelagos, or at least some Greater Ipelagos, before tackling a named Arch Ipelago? 6_u
