Sooooooooo,,,,what are all your plans for Valentines day? I imagine some you have romantic plans for your respective partners or maybe you doing some quality gaming with an Isabela lookalike or someone equivalent?

I have dinner booked with someone I met recently but its very early days so we will see how it progresses

What's so happy about it?

That's a good question, I suppose the fact its suppose to be a celebration of love? Personally I think its a little commercialised but I don't want to be dismissive for those Romantic types

BruceVC: It's very nice of you to wish us all Happy Valentines, and, on these forums, very fitting too. You have very consistently and valiantly fought for love, romance and general kindness and decency in all forms, not just in games, and you haven't even faltered under the immense pressure of those treating romance in games like it was the Black Plague. All the love in the world back at ya, Bruce, and may that date blossom into bliss!!

Monte I've recorded every possible Romance interest and arc for every character in every Bioware game since BG2, what I find always gets me in the mood for Valentines day is to sit and watch them, it just sets the right positive tone. I can send them to you if you want?

I'm playing a hockey game and my wife is working a basketball game, so meh.  I tend to buy her flowers every couple months and avoid February and the price bumps.

I did spend last night helping the kids finish their valentine's for school, so that is something.

I got fed up with all the hoop jumping. Valentine's Day turns romance into some weird alt of The Apprentice.

And by fed up, I mean I still enjoyed planning extravagant and wild stuff to do. But I resented being forced to do it.

I'm going to be celebrating by watching Breaking Bad, doing admin, then going to the old man pub to sit with the other old men and drink ale and tell rude stories about genitals.

tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.

Pop down the gym for a buffing sessions, shave and moisturise for a few hours until I vaguely resemble a human, throw myself in a bath of Blue Stratos, adorn myself with a small fortune in gold and jewellery, slide on my Staying Alive suit and then wine, dine, dance and jingle jangle jewellery my lady love into our hotel bed for a vigorous session of horizontal hokey cokey.

Then go home to the Wife with some flowers.

Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.

I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin.
