Let's Talk About Easter Eggs ...

How about guest appearances resembling characters from every game that the game designers worked on?

"This is what most people do not understand about Colbert and Silverman. They only mock fictional celebrities, celebrities who destroy their selfhood to unify with the wants of the people, celebrities who are transfixed by the evil hungers of the public. Feed us a Gomorrah built up of luminous dreams, we beg. Here it is, they say, and it looks like your steaming brains."

" If you've read Hart's Hope, Neveryona, Infinity Concerto, Tales of the Flat Earth, you've pretty much played Dragon Age."

I think we need a stone tablet, written to Ob Nua by his chief architect, demanding a more dangerous dungeon with all but two of the exits closed off. Plus some muttering about a "turn-based system" and the need for a class on necromancy.

I'd like to come across the P:E staff in a tavern somewhere in the form of Mercenaries who are celebrating landing a huge contract. Later, you find them all dead along the path to the final boss area.

I'd also like to see the Stretch Goal graphic as an actual framed painting in game (minus the highlighted path).

That sounds like a good idea to me.

You don't 'have fun' with people sexually harassing your employees and/or co-workers, even if it's only with the 'less stupid' segment. Even ignoring it is not acceptable. As an employer you have the responsability of speaking out against, or coming down on, people who display that behaviour towards your employees. As far as I know none of the Obsidian employees did anything to warrant being treated that way. I'm sure the females on that staff would've liked to have been complimented on their skills, succes and 'cool' just as the male employees were, but instead they were met with a barrage of lewd comments.

Um, they seemed like they were having fun and I'm sure they didn't care and If they did, they would have spoke out about it. They even were making "black jokes." I'm sure the people working on this project are a tight knit group so they talk about this all the time.

Also, you don't binge drink and/or have drinking games in front of children. You don't cheer on (or peer pressure) people who down shots in front of children. You don't get tipsy in front of children. If the reasons for that aren't obvious, I don't know anymore.

What society are you living in? They are in America, not somewhere oppressed.

Instead of mercenaries, they could be a party of adventurers, who just killed a dragon and looted his hoard worth 4 million gold pieces. They could be called Urquhart, Reywes, Avelloneous, Brennadam and Schaferon.

I'm from Belgium, I'm 100% certain people are quite a lot more liberal about alcohol and sexuality in continental Europe than is the mean in the USA.

But, counterintuively (maybe), that means we're also on the mean quite a lot more responsible and even-headed about it.

It's not about opression, it's about being decent human beings.

Yeah, not #1.... that only reminds me of the disgusting chat that went on asking for porn shots of the female employees. :getlost:

There was also this thread: http://forums.obsidi...10-easter-eggs/

I liked the random recipes within the game (BG2) and the LEGENDARY pantaloons. Legendary.

Yes! But if we could chance encounter a group of miniature giant space hamsters, now THAT would be LEGENDARY :)

If 'The Endless Paths' Mega Dungeon reaches 16 levels, I'd love to see a little Diablo easter egg on the 16th floor 8)

I think that could be hilarious.

Lighten up though, it was a special occasion. I'm sure they don't do that every weekend with children around.

And the internet stream chats...well good luck cleaning those up.

What's all this about green shirt girl? Did I miss something interesting?

I didn't watch the closing party stream, so does this have something to do with it? :cat:

Indeed it did.

'Stretch Goal'

-a scene/dungeon where a person is being tortured on a rack while their tormentor(s) mockingly cheers for them to meet the next stretch goal.

Ugh... :x

No it is not. We should only talk about the merits of Belgian decency. It is a quite more interesting.

Perhaps a Matryoshka doll? When you open it all the way up, there's a recipe for black pudding inside. If you following the instructions in your alchemy lab, you get a faithful black pudding guardian to watch your home. However, it does have the rather unfortunate habit of eating the servants.
