In other news, finally got the hang of combat in The Witcher, just took ~4 deaths.

Not mine of course. Vesna's.

I got my arse kicked escorting Vesna, since it was night and those damn dogs always killed her, so I went to that inn for the night. The nice lady waited patiently outside while I was getting drunk and gambling :p

Abigail: Thank you blahblahblah

Geralt: I chose the lesser evil.

Abigail: I'm sorry that you think so. Farewell.

Dunno, maybe if you wouldn't have, y'know, keep quiet about all this sick **** happening, hand the little boy that you were entrusted with over to the retarded priest, didn't help with those attrocities etc, maybe I wouldn't think so. Just a hunch.

Thanks for the sexytime tho.

Now that the apocalyps3 is over I started playing the God of War Collection on my PS3. I swear, God of War is still as epic as when I played it for the first time 5 years ago.

My copy of God of War III should arrive next week, when I am, sadly, out of town. Can't wait to start playing it, it looks friggin' epic.

After killing a boss my level 4/5 party thought they could immediately enter a temple in Drakensang: the River of Time and now they're getting raped by groups of 6 or 8 giant crabs (for those that might not have played Drakensang 1, these monsters are hellish to fight even one on one with their wounding attacks).

Also, unlike a certain highly acclaimed AAA rpg the enemy AI usually targets the weakest link in the party, so it doesn't help when the lithe Elven ranger chick has to fight off 4 heavily armoured monstrosities with a puny dagger. Anyways, great fun.

Solium Infernum, an indie hex-based tbs strategy game about vying for the throne of Hell.

Yes, it's one of those "one more turn" affairs.

It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai.

So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds

Still playing Company of Heroes, am looking forward to the new Warhammer 40K game and God of War III.

The comments various forumites have made here is making me curious about The Witcher, I might take a look. Usually games where you play a pre-defined character are a big turn-off for me, but enough people here who have views I respect have clearly enjoyed it.

Cheers

Mortal Kombat Deception

ouch

:p

Killing is kind of like playin' a basketball game. I am there. and the other player is there. and it's just the two of us. and I put the other player's body in my van. and I am the winner. - Nice Pete.

Started playing FEAR 2 again but was then quickly reminded what borefest it is.

Amazingly the addon pack was MUCH better than the actual game for project origin.

Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition!

Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.

Dunno, I just started Act II. (Killed the ****atrice)

I only got a little further than that before I decided that I wasn't having any fun. I found the whole "combat as a rythm game" thing tedious-- not interesting enough to be satisfying on a tactical level, and not fun or challenging enough to be satisfying on a 'action game' level-- and didn't consider the writing/setting/story/characters interesting enough to keep playing in spite of the tedium.
