Redemption get's boring after a while, and the endboss is hard.

I should know, I cheated all my stats to max, cutting exploration/grinding in half and was still bored. :p

Still, good game. Somewhat Diablo like.

Two new games at GOG:

Vampire: The Masquerade: Redemption and Dark Fall 2: Lights Out. Never played neither.

Pity, both suck.

Redemption is broken halfway through when you get a sword that seems to insta kill everything. Not to mention grindy gameplay... Its plot is okay and there's a few interesting subplots, but I wouldn't play it again for anything.

Drakfall was an average adventure if I remember correctly.

Dirty, filthy lies. Cover your ears, Boo!

Redemption offered a fantastic V:tM experience with a actual coterie (and an interesting one at that). It also was one of the first MP storyteller RPGs out there. Even before NWN.

More importantly, the transition from Middle Age Prague/Vienna to Modern Age London was one of the most memorable moments in RPGs!

Pity, both suck.

Yeah, I was expecting more GK.

Well I got Beyond Good & Evil to work flawlessly after some struggle. I just started it but I kinda like it already.

VtM: Redemption is probably the only game I've bought and but in the trash bin because I was ashamed of owning it. It is a waste of time, don't play it. Although it's been many years now, I still remember the dungeons were incredibly boring and repetitive.

I own VTM, I can see its merits but I could never get far - at the time it had absolutely horrible performance, the combat felt really clunky and it really felt like I had to do a lot of work to see the good dialogue and story.

So no recommendations for the other adventure game? I shouldn't get it?

I absolutely loved VtM:Bloodlines. Combat was great fun, what are you guys smoking? Flamethrowers, claws, swords, pistols, magic, stealth...

Maybe you guys didn't play the Brujah or Tremere? Those are the most fun classes because of their wide skill sets. Oh, and Malkavian.

Is Total Annihilation there? I'd buy that.

"Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

Phantasmagoria, anyone know bout it?

TA is not there last time I checked.

I's a horror adventure game that got a reputation for having some explicit scenes. It's really more of a cult classic than a truly good game. But I think a lot of people will find it 90's-kitchy and it that is perhaps today something that makes the game more enjoyable.
