COOP

I love these COOP FPS games .. like Left4Dead, Battlefield 2 etc and I've been playing Battlefield 2142 for about 1,5 year now.. I love the concept of hierarchy (Commander -> Squad Leaders -> Grunts) and the concept has alot of potential, but over time cooperation has seized and people are more concerned with points now it seems.. At least I can't seem to find the good servers anymore.

Do you guys know any good games (old or new), where there's still a good community who are more concerned with cooperating, and winning as a team, rather than just getting the highest points as individuals?

I'd appriciate any info!

I dont think you're going to find that sort of experience unless you play with a team/clan/group of friends. The current trend with having levels and upgrades and so on encourages playing for points, so youre not going to get teamplay on random servers.

And you're confusing co-op and multiplayer. Co-op is when you can play with other people against the computer in the campaign/story like if you were doing it singleplayer.

Yeah that's right..

I don't have the time to join and train with a clan - I was hoping that some game or some server (that any of you knew of) had a better team spirit.

I'd try out SWAT 4 Coop.

I actually played that alot once, but I'm looking for something on a bigger scale than just 4-8 players.

You should check out tacticalgamer.com

Not a clan, just a community of people who want to play using teamwork/communication. They usually have servers for the bigger FPS games.

We played Rogue Spear a lot, I liked it. "You go right, I'll take the left" - "Cover my back" etc., was like in the movies, and a lot livelier at LAN parties than deathmatches or capture-the-flag stuff :* I don't know if there's an active community though.
