Which DnD Class would you LIKE to be...

Okay, I would LIKE to be a really badassed mage. I think I'd be a specialist mage who has mad skill ranks in Lore, Spellcraft, Concentration, and Diplomacy (cross-classed). I'd go for the Mind Over Body 1st level feat and then take metamagic and spellcasting feats the whole way, especially penetration feats at mid to higher levels.

What I'd probably REALLY end up being is a level 0 humanoid living in the Forgotten Realms somewhere and hating the fact that I was the only person in town not a level 50 Red Wizard of Thay or some such.

i'd want to be a mage, though i'd probably end up a wild mage. i mean, i spend most of my life studying something or another, either at work or at home (i'm running sims right now). i am, however, rather reckless and don't always pay attention to what i'm doing, hence the wild mage (does that even exist in 3.5E?).

Mage. I like raining down destruction from afar. Plus I'd be a good hermit-in-a-tower sort.

I'd really like to be a Warlock/Rogue/Assassin/Wild Mage/Wizard

But, I'd probably just end up being a Rogue/Wizard with a high int score and average dexterity. Maybe a Wild Mage too, depending on requirements for the PrC.

I'd be a superawesomecool Ranger with dual glowing axes with names, dual longbows (somehow) with names and flaming arrows that go pew-pew, a dragon to fly on, and a magic hawk that I can summon with a magic whistle. Also I'd have a dark history, and while my gruff nature and rudeness would repell the stuck-up elvish princesses, my mysteriousness and awesome semi-homoerotically described muscles would cause them to be strangely attracted to me. Clearly I'd be the most compelling and original character since ever.

That or I'd be that wierd merchant in some corner of the map with two lines of dialogue and absolutely nothing worth buying.

Race, either halfling or tiefling. Class? Wizard or Bard.

Well, given the fact that the D&D universe features frequent, proveable, and repeatable miracles, it'd be stupid to be anything but a priest, or at least a very observant commoner.

Personally, I'd prefer to pick a god that isn't very involved with healing or violence. I get kinda sqeamish dealing with exposed internal organs and the like. If we're talking FR, maybe a priest of Mystra or Oghma, since magic is cool. I doubt that my WIS is high enough to advance very far, but I could always multiclass to Wizard once I'm sure that the Gods like me enough to get a plum position in the afterlife.

... and to answer the second question, as with any pre-modern society (not to mention a good deal of the modern ones), what I'd actually be would depend almost entirely on what my parents were. If they were illiterate peasant farmers or simple trades-people, I wouldn't have a whole lot of options.

Oh, and I'd either still be an atheist, blatantly ignorant of any and all miracles or gods themselves that I see before me, or I'd try to get away with feigning worship of Bhaal, just as a variation on the previous religious lunacy.

I'd like to be a sorceror. Cool magical powers, without all that effort
