Blizzard is taunting us...

Recommended Posts

One game to rule them all, and in the soulless RTS, bind them.

I thought Gas Powered games was trying to make another RPG, not an RTS.

Blizzard (hopefully) isn't stupid enough to waste their time with anything other than the goods.

Bingo

That and I have waited a damn decade to see Raynor kick some ass, to see Kerrigan's fate, to know what the hell was with Duran, to see if Fenix is really dead this time (I miss Duke already), and to check in with Artanis. I'm owed.

F it, time to play through the campaign

That is exactly what I am looking forward to. Plus some crazy multiplayer. But I will play through the entire campaign first, no doubt, then proceed to get my ass kicked on B-net.

Man, I will be so crushed if its not Starcraft 2.

I really don't think Fenix'll be making a comeback. Once you die as a dragoon it's game over man

Duke was an idiot. Alexei Stukov on the other hand was cool :)

Never count out a character named "Fenix"

After all, there has to be new units, right? :)

I'm owNed.

Fixed.

It always amazes me that you became a mod. What, Baley was busy?

He's already come back once. I don't think they'll be doing it again

Maybe they'll bring back Tassadar or something. Who knows?

That'd be pretty weird actually...

Nah, Tassadar shouldn't come back.

He turned into a force of pure light and dark templar energies along with his Carrier and destroyed the original Overmind.

There is nothing to come back.

Entaro Tassadar!

>_<

The lighting effects are nifty, but the new engine seems to lack the "gritty" look of the original. But, it's not finished, so whatever.

The lead was the guy behind Red Alert 2, so that's sorta promising

EDIT: That named a unit after Fenix, so, I'm guessing he's dead dead

I'm currently translating the Korean in unit briefings, will post soon.

The marine just says something like.. literally is "At last, what will come has come", or "what must come hsa come"; it's spoken in a vernacular tone similar to say, a hardened American soldier. Conveys something like "At last... it's time." (dramatically)

No need to translate, the official site is live, with trailer in english

Meh. I guess no need, then. Most of it was covered in English commentary anyway - it was just those advisor-types popping in with comments like "Sire, the Zergs are closing in" and "move out men!".

most surprising thing: No new race. Not literally said, but strongly implied:

How many races are in StarCraft II?

In StarCraft II, players will see the return of the Protoss, Terran, and Zerg races. Our goal is to ensure that all the factions in the game play even more distinctly from one another than in the original StarCraft, while still maintaining the fine balance that helped make StarCraft such a classic. We're also introducing a number of new units to each race, as well as modifying some of the familiar units returning in StarCraft II. With these design refinements and the new features we have planned for the single-player and multiplayer elements of the game, StarCraft II will offer a next-generation StarCraft experience.

Since it's only the second game, it makes sense. Warcraft took until WC 3, Command and Conquer took until their third Tiberium universe game (technically their 5th depending on what timeline theory you subscribe to).

No point in introducing new factions while you still have room to refine the stories and armies of the first factions.
