You're lucky if you find a S-IPS monitor for under $1000!

About 6 months back, I had assembled a machine for a buddy, with a 19" LG1930B. It cost him a whopping $269. As I mentioned, they canned the product because you cannot quantify and advertise the quality of a S-IPS, but you can advertise response times.... 8ms ZOMG!1!.

Today, you can buy the following S-IPS monitors:

- Dell 2001FP: ~$450

- Dell 2005FP: ~$450

- HP 2335: $850

Ok, I exaggerated a bit, but my point is that you make it sound like the ACER screen is "OMG IS THAT A YELLOW OR PURPLE BLOB??" bad, which it isn't.

Still, I would recommend a Viewsonic VA902 or something, if you're looking for good value for your dollar. It usually costs somewhere around $250.
