Hey guys...

Recommended Posts

I have Kotor I for the xbox...and I still love and play to this day....I was a little skeptical about Kotor II due to the fact that Bioware was not the primary developer for this game this time around....but realized how dumb a reason that was...and now I plan on buying the game...

My only concern that I have....how different is Kotor I from Kotor II in gameplaying perspective? Please tell me they added alot of new features from the orginal.....

My biggest fear is buying this game and realizing Im just playing an expansion pack from Kotor I.

Obsidian didn't mess around too much with the core mechanics but they added some features that makes the game a little bit more user friendly. It's essentially the same gameplay with an all new storyline.

It's a good game. Enjoy.

Charlie Murphy - hmm....cool name. Reminds me of a person I used to play DoD with.

Anyways, I enjoyed II more than the first. The endgame fell off of a cliff, but I enjoyed the dialogue and characters more than in the first. I also enjoyed the story more up until the last few hours.

It is just as easy, if not easier than as first, which is dissapointing, but the some of the new mechanics are fun, even though the difficulty kept them from being very useful. The upgrade system is much better and skills are way more useful this time around.

I just wish the game was more difficult and the ending was not cut in LA's rush to get the game out for the holidays.

Yep, K2 will be a brilliant game once the 2 most important mods for the game come out, them being the TSL restoration and M4-78 Mods - there is infulence, as already mentioned more user friendly a bit of reunions with some old friends and planets, and yes of course new force moves, feats, characters, story, prestiges and its more open ended

and the graphics are great as well - robes are improved greatly :(

But remember, if you are dissapointed about ending, look TSL stickie after completing the game :(

How can it be a no ob build. It has PROVEN effective. I dare you to show your builds and I will tear you apart in an arugment about how these builds will won them.

agreed...with the two restoration teams fixing the cut content, its well worth the money for the pc version. even if you have an x-box live, not all mods are compatible...of course, i only paid $20 dollars for it on amazon, lucky me :D

I think it only fair to warn people who are considering buying KotOR2 that the game is still in an uncomplete state, because Lucasarts pushed the deadline and so forced Obsidian to cut a lot from the game.

This means that the game is excellent (barring annoying bugs) until you're about 70-80% through it, and then a disappointing turn towards the end.

Even so, I still recommend it. There are more force-powers, levels and classes than in KotOR1, so when it comes to gameplay, it's still excellent - you just don't get a complete resolution to all the characters of the plot and need to ask around here or examine the clues given to figure it all out.

A group is making a mod to restore the lost endings and other cut stuff, though. I'd give a link, but that would be a big spoiler.

But get it for PC, not X-box...

yep xbox suckzorz, seriously what are consoles for, they dont specialise in any good games, because the pc is basically good for every game

and if your getting it for xbox, and you dont like your endings or dont care about the cut content by all means get it on xbox, but you would have to be stupid if you do that

I am suprised no one has mentioned Peragus. When you start the game, it will be really lame (the 1st level on Peragus), but just stick with it, because once you get past it, the game improves significantly. This is a great game, and I reccomend it to any kotor 1 fan, just bear with Peragus and Malachor V (I personally thought Peragus was worse, and on my 1st game I gave up because of it. I tried it again later, got through it, then I ended up liking it better that kotor 1 :geek:). Plus the Mods for the PC version that people have mentioned before me is a bonus :).

What the hell is sarcasm? :geek:

Seriously though; people who never played Kotor2 before usually go to general and not spoilers to avoid knowing such stuff.

Even if it is impossible NOT to know when you meet him, somebody who hasn't met him probably doesn't know yet, right?

Thus for those (who visit the board and have not finished Kotor2 or are very early in it) spoiler tags are used in general to have them have the "chance" of avoiding spoilers...
