what PC do you use?

Right. Looks like a Swedish-only bigoted news source! <_<

To be fair, the advantages for SATA-II's NCQ was slight (although I'm sure the technology will improve as it matures). They did say that the the Raptor's extra RPM wasn't as big an advantage as we might suppose, and that 16MB cache gave a better performance boost. I'll re-read the article to make sure I'm not misrepresenting it ...

Western Digital just released a 150 GB Raptor. Time to save up!

They're fast, but they're noisy.

Performance > Noise

Built for pimping out a rig: it's got a viewing window, too, so that you can watch the head dance maniacally across the (centre of the) platter.

I read through five pages of this thread and it made my little unit self concious. Although Diamond's poor unit is hurting worse than mine, by a little bit. He does have a far better processor than me though, so there's always that.

Celeron D 2.4 ghz

And shepherds we shall be,

for Thee, my Lord, for Thee.

Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,

that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.

So we shall flow a river forth unto Thee,

and teeming with souls shall it ever be,

In Nomine Patris, et Fili, et Spiritus Sancti.

A long, long time ago, but I can still remember,
How the Trolling used to make me smile.
And I knew if I had my chance, I could egg on a few Trolls to "dance",
And maybe we'd be happy for a while.
But then Krackhead left and so did Klown;
Volo and Turnip were banned, Mystake got run out o' town.
Bad news on the Front Page,
BIOweenia said goodbye in a heated rage.
I can't remember if I cried
When I heard that TORN was recently fried,
But sadness touched me deep inside,
The day...Black Isle died.

But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

By the way, my new 74GB Raptor drive flies.  The map load times on Battlefield 2 now take less time than the client verification.  It's small, but prior to this I was using one 8 and one 12 gig drive.

*ahem* The more I think about it, I probably should have gotten A Raptor. Ah well, I could always get one later.
