What are you reading now, what do you like to read,etc. Books that have hero vampires are works written by Anne Rice, before she fell from grace, and others who are not as well known like her. Books by Hamilton and Nancy Kilpatrik have vampire "heros". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That would be at the time of "Interview with a Vampire" right ? And It's Nancy Kilpatrick, I've only read "Child of the Night", it was OK, haven't had a chance checkout the rest of "Power of Blood" series. I'm currrently reading "Fundamentals of Thermodynamics" by Richard E. Sontagg, Claus Borngakke and Gordon J. Van wylen. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Interview series, yes. The dark heros of Anne's world. Its extremely depressing that good writers starve while complete morons with no talet or taste whatsoever like Rice sell by the millions. I think having poor taste should be punishable by death, it would greatly improve the world. Well, nothing's really objective when it comes to things like this. Even the stuff they teach you about Islam in school is biased. The guy does however back up his statements with historical sources, including the Quran and Hadith. It's very interesting, if not just for the alternative viewpoints. Good times I do actualy believe she actually described a Keytar solo in the book, and it has been scientificly proven that the Keytar solo is the most blatantly *** form of 80s poodle-metal solo known to man. It gives some nice backround for City of Heros... Last week I read the First four and the last Xwing books. Now I've got Cable vs. Deadpool stuck in my head. PhantomJedi Posted December 31, 2005 Share Posted December 31, 2005 Recently I've read The Scarlet Letter by Hawthorne, The Orchid Thief by Orlean, The Virtue of Selfishness by Ayn Rand, Catcher in the Rye by Salinger, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Kesey, and I am soon going to start reading The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. But for fun I read the Harry Potter series and the Inheritance Trilogy by Christopher Paolini because they are a nice escape from the crazy world we live in. I really do recommend the Inheritance Trilogy, Eragon; Eldest; and the last book Paolini is currently working on, because he tries to mix in some light philosophy in to his writing and his writing style showcases his love of nature and the outdoors but never gets in the way of the story which in a way is sort of epic. Strangly enough I'm reading George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones for the first time. I have to say I have not enjoyed a book this much in some time.The intrigue has me staying up way past my bedtime to read. People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
