I considered enlisting in my military, but I didn't like the idea of having to be in it for 9 years (I was considering an Officer in the Canadian Army. 4 years of schooling to get my degree, and 5 years service. Even the 2 year requirement for NCM was a bit too much for me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, I certainly can't see myself doing anything else. Honestly, no other job even sparks my interest, not even a bit. So I guess I will just see if I like it or not, which I'm sure I will. War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. --John Stewart Mill-- "Victory was for those willing to fight and die. In my case, it is 11X, or Infantry. Then I get assigned to a unit, where I will continually train. War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things.
