Game Composition

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'm new to this board, and have a question.

So I was reading the GD 2005 average salary survey, and I was looking especialy at the audio section of the survey.

So I was wondering, out of the 63 of those who sent in their salaries and were used in the survey, were they all hired full-time, or could it mean that they were independant composers (or engineers, but I'm more interested in the music part) that only worked on games? Because I don't know how they could possibly get 63 full time audio people, since audio is started late into production.

And I was wondering who usualy made a larger salaries? Indie composers or full-time composers? I don't know who would possibly know this, but any ideas would be great.

Thanks!!!!!

In my company the full time audio people are usually project-independent. When audio for project A is not started, they're working on audio for project B.
