Goto - mechanical inflated windbag of uselessness +4

Although I did kind of like his voice.

Another vote for GO-TO, but in truth none of the droids have ever made it off the ship. Even though the battles aren't all that hard, it's a pain to restore their health because 'heal' doesn't work on them. GO-TO had the honor not only of being ugly but being an unlikable, annoying character with no purpose.

But T3 was a fantasitic fighter AND a portable workbench!

I noticed that during my playthroughs of the game, there were some characters I never used. These included:

G0-T0

T3-M4

HK-47

Mandalore

Visas

I also didn't like these characters because most of their background stories kind of sucked.

What do you think?

Visas? useless? :) you must be crazy!

Eh, Visas was okay. I just preferred to use other jedi (like atton and mira). Plus I am a girl, which means that.....well....some guys REALLY like Visas, you know? :)"

Oh and to the people who don't care about the back stories for some of the party members, there's a reason why people like Handmaiden and Atton so much. It's because they keep your interest with their good storylines.

P.S. G0-T0 is my least favorite character in the game (i think I took him off the ship once in the whole game), but some of the NPCs on my list I like (HK, for example) but just don't use very much.

My rankings here would be:

1. G0-T0 (no reason at all)

2. T3-M4 (only when I needed a workbench, that's it)

3. Kreia (one-hander didn't suit me and I use Valor anyway)

In regards to some other posts about characters:

HK-47: He was much more useful in K2 than in K1, although he didn't really have a reason to be in K2. I put maximum sniper shot, maximum Assassination protocol (50% damage on critical hit!), and some other blaster related feat (more damage and bonus), plus a disrupter rifle upgraded to focus on critical hits.

Mira: She had this feat which made her blaster attack rolls really high so I used her as replacement Atton.

I haven't had a game with Hanharr or Disciple yet. (only 1 game, lol)

:geek: Am I the only person who actually liked GOTO??

Here's a dude who can:

pick locks

hack computers

disarm and recover mines (just by flying over them)

and with his combat implant fire off close to 200 damage in a single round

Add to that an interesting back story, good voice acting and a not-so-subtle homage to the HAL9000 and how can you not love that fat ball of wires?

I notice most of you GOTO haters admit to never having actually used him. Hmm...

As far as Atton and Visas, KOTOR2 was just so easy that the last thing I needed was another jedi with a couple light sabers making battles end in 2 seconds instead of 4.

I'd have to pick Mira as a non-Jedi.

As a Jedi, she's pretty good, but as a range and demolitions specialist she stinks. Plus, I don't like her attitude.

you obviously haven't met goto. but Mira is my favorite nc first of all:the wrist launcher, second her ability to use a blaster to it's full extent is awesome, and third she is really HOT.

NO! How could you people vote against Mira with options like Disciple on that list?

Well, the poll is about how useless a char is, and disciple can really fight, even if he looks like... And when Mira isn't a Jedi she's really pretty useless.

But I still chose GOTO :)

Mira's rocket-launcher is fairly useful, and she is good at dealing with mine-fields. Add to that she can become a Jedi, and I wouldn't call her useless.

T3 is a droid with skills and personality. HK is a droid will skills and personality.

G0T0 is pretty useless.

How can you not use Mandalore? He was my favorite in the first KotOr. I love him like a fat kid loves cake... I just wish he had more depth this time around. He's still a monster in combat.

BTW, remember in the first KotOr, when you got Mandalorian Armor, the kind that had the helmet? Can you get that in K2, or is Mandalore's armor the only kind with a a helmet?

Yup.

Well, this is a "most useless" thread. Why use the useless?

Intrigued by the lack of votes for Disciple (although I will grant that this isn't a "most hated" thread).

I never found Mira useless, though; picking my way through all of the Ubese bounty hunters with just a couple of heavy blasters and master rapid shot was one of the more fun parts of the game. Of course, on replay I just stealth her out of there and leave them for the exile, rather than see the XP go to waste. Shame. She is particularly useful as a party leader on Dxun; with a little stealth she can recover the mines, disable the sensors, destroy the generators...

The mandalorian armour mysteriously didn't have a helmet whenever it was equipped by anyone else even in K1, as I recall.

Got me thinking just how the party in this game is so much better balanced than the Bioware original.

In K1, I never even took T3 into the military base, much less off the ship. Zalbaar? A wookie scout? Are you kidding? I though they were supposed to be tough. Mission? What was that line? "A snot-nosed kid and a walking carpet"? And I can never hear that personal hygene thing between her and Zalbaar enough. Carth and Canderous? Well I took them for a spin hunting Kath hounds on the surface of Dantooine, but after that it was Jedis and HK all the way.

The Mandalorian Assault Armor... Makes Canderous look like my Revan's real personal pet Mandalorian. :)

Precisely what I meant -- I'll pick a scout over a soldier any day. :D
