Unlocking Extra Stuff?

Recommended Posts

Hi All, I remeber reading somwhere that if you beat Kotor2 twice, once as light side and once as dark side, you can then begin a new game and have new conversation options show up. So, a few questions about this:

Is this true? and if so what sorts of new dialogue options do you get?

If So, is it neccesary to play two full games or can you take a save game near the end and use cheat codes to swing yourself from light to dark and fool the game that way? (I hate trying to play dark side)

If there are unlockable/secret conversation options, could this be a way to access some of the cut content people keep talking about?

Thanks!

Yes and no... I honestly don't recall seeing any dialogue "options" per se, though I never did finish that game... only got about halfway through. Not really worth the effort. You get an extra little spiel from Atton when you first meet him and you play a female exile... I think there's something involving the Handmaiden if you play a male exile, but I can't say for sure. And that's about it. As an Atton fangirl, I appreciated the little extra Atton dialogue stuff, but I certainly wouldn't want to play the game twice JUST to see that. Totally not worth your time if you weren't planning on re-playing the game in the first place.

This extra stuff only shows up once (meaning, on your 4th playthrough, the extra stuff will no longer be there), and from what I understand, only happens if you have the Xbox version. (that's what someone on this board told me once, anyway)

I haven't done any cheat codes, so I really couldn't say. I'm leaning toward thinking that wouldn't work, but what the hell do I know. (for the record, I also hate playing DS, but I found it wasn't that bad with KOTOR2)

No, absolutely not. The cut content is something completely different that was just that -- CUT content. You can't access it in game at all.

Please review my fanfic!

I got the Atton speil on the PC. I think it works if you start two games, I don't know if you have to finish two ... then again I did finish a few, and I don't remember the exact chronology of the events.

There is also some new dialouge with Atris when you first meet her on Telos, at least I think. Either way, it was the only time I actually got her to listen to me, let alone team up with me...
