Good info here. Two x-box games + Dragon Age unofficially officially annoucned. Hmm... Wonder what they can be? Probably JE2, and one other. Mythical myths say KOTOR3; but those people are moronic. Also, one of the x-box games are liekly for 2006 - likely JE2..

Cool.. they didn't rule out any of the next generation consoles..

I'd love to see a Bioware RPG on my PS3.

From reading the interview (and I may be a little behind the curve on this), I am under the assumption that there is going to be a paradigm shift in the pure technology dept. of next generation consoles and pc's. Is that true? Will the PS3 and XBOX 360 be more powerful than the PC? Atleast upon release?

Good article. :-

It looks like Bio is planning on a mmorpg and gameboy game, or at least they acknowledged they want to get into those areas. While I have no desire for these games, I think it shows at how large Bio is becoming. Blizzard and Bethseda have already done hand held games, and Blizzard with World of Warcraft has done a mmo. I think it's logical for bio to enter these arenas.

I love Bioware, except for the fact they have no idea of subtlety when it comes to evil.

If I see one more Bioware game that gives you the option to say something to the equivalent of: Give me your money or I'll kill you, I'll be forced to post an angry objection on their website. And thereby be banned for pure reason and the lack of it on the part of Bioboard's moderators.

And I find it kind of funny

I find it kind of sad

So basically Bioware is forcing me to buy an XBox360 in order to play any of their new games?

Only for some of their games. Dragon Age is PC, and Jade Empire looks like its going to be a PC port. I

That's actually pretty typical. Consoles tend to be very cheap and have excellent technology over and beyond most PCs at the point they come out. Within a year or two, though, they fall behind.

"So basically Bioware is forcing me to buy an XBox360 in order to play any of their new games?"

As others have said, no one is being forced to do anything. Don't want a x-box 360? Don't buy one. Besdies, there's DA for PC googoos anyways.

Every RPG has tons of these type of evil quests - PST, and FO included. To center out BIo alone for this is just plain silly.

Ellester, aye, it seems BIO is getting bigger every day. Ever expanding - just like me while watching porn...

No surprise. Everytime I read one of the renowned "Greg & Ray" interviews, I just can't help but deduce that Bio just got a little fatter, a little more ambitious, and just a little more hungry for the "more, bigger, better" philosophy....again.

But that's okay. As long as they maintain their high quality and integrity, I'll continue buying Bio [PC] games... as for the kid stuff a'la Xbox 360, handheld etc. -> No thanks.

Hmmmm, That interview kinda turned me off of Dragon Age to be honest. I was hoping it would be more along the lines of JE and KotOR style then Balders Gate and NWN. Ahhh well, have to keep watching.

Loved that they looking at a possible MMORPG game. Really think Bioware (or Obsidian) could do a MMORPG properly and hopefully they useing JE or KotOR as the template.

JE2 :p what else needs to be said! hehe

As for platforms, I hope Bioware remembers the XBox users loyalty and design games for XBox first before worrying about the other platforms out there. I know I hav have no desire to buy Playstations and game cubes and all t hat junk. 1 PC and 1 XBox enough for me :)

I would guess JE2 for one.

As far as KOTOR III goes, the devs did say that they now consider themselves

open to "established licenses" if it is the right project. I'm not getting my hopes up too high, mind you, but someone has to be developing this thing.

The next-gen non-disclosure agreement would explain the uncanny silence.

They aren't forcing you... You don't have to play their console games.

Read my post in its entirety. I didn't say I was being forced to buy a XBox 360 in of itself. I said if I want to play Bioware's new games it looks like I'm forced to buy a XBox 360.

My post was more about asking whether these same games will be available for PC, or whether I'll be "forced" to buy a XBox 360 if I want to ever play them.

"I hope Bioware remembers the XBox users loyalty"

Customers have no loyalty. Companies don't need to show loyalty to those who lack loyalty themselves.

If Bioware is doing JE2, they better fix bring in Phoenix gate and double its gamelength. It was borderline abysmal in JE.

"Are you sure about that?"

Absolutely positve. Customers are selfish. They think about themselves only. You want proof? Look at the reaction when BIO announced that NWN wasn't gooing to have henchmen? Or how about when they announced they were going to make x-box exlusives? oe ven when theyd ared to make KOTOR for both x-box and PC. Not very pretty.

Customers think about what's god for themselves. As long as companies make what a specific customer wants; everything is good. Otherwise, beware the wrath.

Don't worry about it. I'm as guilty as everyone else, and there's nothingw rong with it. Customers should be selfish. Just like companies should be. Afterall, as far as I'm concerned, when money is involved, loyalty is completely non existent.

"If Bioware is doing JE2, they better fix bring in Phoenix gate and double its gamelength. It was borderline abysmal in JE."

Meh. It was long as other games gameplay wise including FO, KOTOR series, etc. Not eveyr game has to be BG2. besdies, i judge games on quality; not quantity.

LOL Volo, yas on crack if yas think customers dont show loyalty.

Really no other arguement to be made other then to say, yes they do. To say otherwise would be false and delusional to be honest.

You're absolutely wrong on this one, Voly.

There is such a thing as customer/consumer loyalty, and it is a big part of economics.

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."
