I got the impression old Palps was putting on an act and holding back, trying to trick Anakin into saving him and take the final steps to the Dark Hooded Robe Wearing Side. I'm usually a pretty relaxed ( read 'lazy') person, exept when I put me claws into something I really really like doing :D I've given myself this quota of one drawing a day, no matter how crappy, even if it's just a bunch of circles and stuff. About I think the same about Palps. And it has the be the only explanation. Who would you help? The one that's floored or the one holding the sword to his neck? Yes, but if you consider the fact that Mace Windu and Yoda were the 2 most powerful Jedi in the Order....and Yoda did kinda tie Palpatine Force-wise, and since Mace is the better lightsaber-wielder... Windu could've finished him whilst he was down. All he had to do, was prod the lightsaber a little forward. But still, the fight rocked, and Palpatine kinda deep-fried himself. But you are right, it could have been the holding back tho:D He did goad in Anakin. Nice Mara-Jade by the way, I like it. I do think however that your Aurra was a bit better. This is good aswell, tho, I just like Aurra more:D Keep up the good work, because everytime you make a drawing, I keep noticing improvement. Personally, I would have very much preferred the deformation of Palpatine's appearance to occur naturally over a period of time. Though it was one of the best scenes, it's just so typical of Lucas to kill off every indefinite outcome. The real mystery is: How could a whiny cretin like Luke get to grope a voluptuous piece like Mara Jade? Thanks :D I made an outline today to make a pic with Mara and Palpatine in it. It looks kindda groovy now still, I'm gonna make that one tomorrow. (Fell right asleep when I came home from school today...still am sleepy, so full of it :D) Another thought occured to me. Mira is a redhead, Mara is a redhead. But that's where the likenessess end tho :D That and the fact their names are quite alike, maybe Mira was inspired by Mara. Who knows? Some of the books are better than others, due to the fact that they are written by different authors. It's a bit hit and miss, but there's a great story running through the series.
