KOTOR I or II fanart

Recommended Posts

Visascensored.jpg

Firstly, this is the first time I've photoshopped any of my sketches, and secondly, if it bothers anyone, I'll take it down.

Nice. She looks like she's from somewhere near Mediterranean. Or something. (What's the word exactly?)

Firs-time photoshopper? Good work though. Don't know if your using same technigue in PS that I am: coloring with pencil and then softening and messing the colors with Smudge Tool...?

Although, her hair seems that, you have cut them off and pasted as new layer and used effect (seems Plastic -Smiley-).

Yea. Sorry if I offended you in any way. I just have bad habbit to mention about the effects in photoshopped pics whenever I see them.

I did do her hair as a seperate layer, but the wet-like-ness is just painting over the black with a white set at a low tranparency.

And I adore learning anything about photoshop. :(

Oh, the sorry about that 'using effect' thing. Heh. I'm no teacher, though, just selfish ****. Yea. I'm sure there's people here, who can give a tip or two.

I can only say that Smudge Tool thing. It's same as you used your own finger to mess two colors together, or soften the edges of light and shadow etc. Laugh at me, if you already knew this.

Yep, that's about it.

That's address to go for more info. That goes to front page, so just try to find what you're looking fo from there. There's couple of tutorials to drawing and coloring with PhotoShop. There should be somekind of Tutorials page or something.

Bump (for those who want to post their work). Let's keep this thread going

What do you guys think I should do for my next "work of art" :D

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

--John Stewart Mill--

"Victory was for those willing to fight and die. Intellectuals could theorize until they sucked their thumbs right off their hands, but in the real world, power still flowed from the barrel of a gun.....you could send in your bleeding-heart do-gooders, you could hold hands and pray and sing hootenanny songs and invoke the great gods CNN and BBC, but the only way to finally open the roads to the big-eyed babies was to show up with more guns."

It's not a sketch, but I thought I would make mention here that I made a modified version of the official Light Side KOTOR2 wallpaper to inclued Visas instead of the Handmaiden. It still has some issues, but it was no halfassed job, and I think it turned out quite well :ermm:

Feel free to grab it from this thread: http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=32917

Now back to the sketches! :-

Bump (thread is dying). These are some great drawings. I think we should make this a sticky so we have one thread for everyones art.

Well if this thread is going to go sticky I should make mention of the new (and final) thread I made for my modified wallpaper. Based a few requests I took it a step further and ended up with a Exile, Visas, Bao-Dur, Handmaiden, Atton version. The new thread has both versions in it.

Enjoy!
