The Chopin I've heard (one nocturne and one etude) is all really good. Throwing Copper... that's a classic. That song "Waitress," oh man that was some really cool stuff.

yes you mentioned you heard the Nocturne in D flat major .. I have about 7 different versions one my favorites are in E minor op 72 no. 1!

but his best symphony is Claire de Lune!! it makes a shiver run down my spine every single time .. (I guess I have a Chopin obsession :"> )

and Live's ****e Town !! (w00t)

Strangely enough Smashing Pumpkins Melloncollie and the Infinite Sadness. Alot of people really don't like this album, or the band for that matter, but to me this is their best album, and really one of those "quinessential" deals. Where parts of it seem to reek of Billy Corigan's immaturity it seems to add a real edge of realness underneath his blantant rockstarism.

I think I'll listen to Eliot Smith's Kill All The Rockstars next to counteract the effects. ^_^

I just realised I had been listening to nothing but the Grim Fandango OST and coctail music for three days now...

To me, all pop music is a bunch of manufactured crap.

That's why I only listen to 'real' music.

I know so many (or maybe too many) who have adopted that view because it's popular/cool .. which is the most ironic thing..

There's alot of good pop as well .. and just as much crappy pop .. but the same thing goes for every genre!

true for instance blink182 is to punk

as disturbed is to metal

nice and safe

but to say that a good group or individual can't "come up" through popular means is completely inaccurate.

You're right.
