Is the Jedi Watchman pointless?

Recommended Posts

He's never done that on me. I've been force drained by him I think. Vrook constantly heals himself but again that was with a stock saber so he wasnt taking major damage(only level 16 at the time too). When I meet Sion this time I'll just goof around and use trauma packs see what sort of moves he comes up with.

I dont think they get much of a chance. In Trayus it goes something like this.

Combat mode force lightning/spam force wave everything dies rinse and repeat.

Nothing much lasts past the first or second flurry even Kreia.

I'm starting my second playthrough, DS this time around. The first time I didn't use room wiping Force powers, just my lightsaber, and that gave the Sith on Trayus academy plenty of time to use their Force powers if they had wanted to. That would be OK if those damned Sith Marauders used flurry or power attack instead, but they didn't. And what's funny is that the regular Sith lords dealt way more damage in melee than the marauders.

I'm guessing that due to the way the enemy leveling was done, if they used combat feats or Force powers regularly, the game would be insanely difficult near the end.

And why the hell do they look like bantha herders?

I meant I'm godlike compared to how I would be if I was a Jedi Master or a Weapons Master... the watchman is a good class... although it seems like Prestige classes don't get too many perks. They need to make more stuff for them, make it REALLY different... and make the game harder. KOTOR2 is a bit on the easy side.

The weapon master is lethal compared to the watchman. Plus they get a huge number of feats which none of the other prestige classes seem to get.

new ranks of two weapon fighting

new ranks of saber specialisation

damage reduction

extra damage

If you want a nice relaxing game a consular with support feats and a couple of attack powers is great. Sit back buff party and watch them run off and kill things.

I'm going to take a Sith Marauder for a spin then shelve the game I think. Time to move on.

dude, how many times have you finished this game?

shelving it so soon is rather dumb.....why don't you mod the game and make it even more harder or something.

When I get around to the Sith Marauder 5. Which is four more times than KOTOR :(

I have to agree with Volourn.  Bioware is pretty much dead now.  Deals like this kills development studios.

Well, since the AI doesn't use grenades, Force powers or combat feats, it's pretty useless to have uber saving throws... icon3.gif

Eh ? It uses all of those..

No, it doesn't. The only enemies that use grenades are some miner droids and the obvious 'sith grenadiers'. I haven't seen a single enemy use combat feats, and only once some Sith Lord used lightning against me. Not even Sion or Nihilus.

Were you accually paying attention to the game???

some of the enemies and some creatures threw grenades and almost all other enemies did all sorts of special attacks.....so you must have modded the game or something...

No, I was too busy replying to little trolls that tell me what happened in MY game to pay attention. I'll try to do better next time.

Some creatures used grenades on you? You mean boma beasts and shyracks used grenades on you? And you ask me if I have been paying attention?

I was telling you what happened in MY game. In response you challenged that. Then contradicted yourself quite nicely by saying that you had been hit by grenades and force powers.

Conclusion your wasting everyones time with your obvious fabrications.Which makes you the troll.

Whoa, whoa! I know you weren't telling me what had happened in my game. The reply wasn't aimed at you, man.

Peace.

I'm with U. While, there are times where force powers and grenades are used; it's not nearly enough. This is most evidenced in the finala reawhere you are fighting Dark Jedi/Sith left and right. Out of the HUNDREDS of them I fought; maybe 1 or 2 used force powers. And, also, with how common the super heal paks are why don't the enemy use it more?

I agree with SP though. Nihilious does use power attack. Not that it did anything since he had a hard time hitting my ac of nearly 60 in the 10 seconds or so he was alive. <>

Sion was Spaghetti Man who only used life drain once and awhile. Kreia was no better with only using force wave a couple times. However, after one of those she actually did use throw sbare. That was cool.

Enemies need to use their feats and force powers way more often. Way more.
