KOTOR II would be easier to cast for a movie than KOTOR I due to all the hidden faces in the cast. Visas Marr should be played by Kelly Hu, the actual voice actor, no problem there. she's mostly masked, so there's no issue about whether she looks right for the part, etc.! (maybe in a movie version we could see a glimpse of her without the veil?) Kreia--we never see her whole face either. Is the voice actor available? she'd do just fine. Mandalore should still be played by our favorite for the role of Canderous, Ron Perlman, but it might as well be John Cygnan (the actual voice actor) b/c he's masked! but in the movie, there should be a scene where he's unmasked ( perhaps a flashback to the time when Canderous finds Mandalore's helmet ) Bao Dur isn't really masked, but he's full of makeup due to his being a Zabrak, so we might as well cast the voice actor, whoever he is, depending on his physical build. If the voice actor isn't available or is too tall/short/etc.,, perhaps Cuba Gooding Jr or Levar Burton? G0T0, and HK--same thing. MIght as well stick with the same actor who voiced them. No face! T3 doesn't require any casting unless we need somebody like Kenny Baker, but we really don't. Hanharr--we just need somebody big and tall and who can act psycho with 2 vibroblades. Is Peter Mayhew available? Who do we have left? Atton, Handmaiden, Mira, Disciple. Atton- I see Zach Braff from "Scrubs" and Garden State (2004). we need somebody who can deliver witty sarcasm. Handmaiden- basically we need someone who can pull off the short haircut and believably kick ass with hand-to-hand or weapons combat. Someone in her 20s with an American "sci-fi" accent. I'm having trouble thinking of anyone of that description.... Mira - Give Sandra Bullock a red wig and let her run with it. or somebody slightly younger? Disciple - I have no idea. Atton: Jason Lee - he's a clown. he's a scoundrel. otherwise i'd put in Jonny Depp, but he'd steal the spotlight. Visas: Rachel Weisz - she's got the voice and she's got the lips, and please... no more Asian babes as your default choices. Handmaiden: Shannyn Sossamon. nuff said. Kreia: Judy Dench - that's a good one. Mandalore: Russell Crowe. the aussies will love it. Hanharr: whatever. GOTO: Helmut Bakaitis - he played the architect from Matrix sequels. Mira: Claire Danes - tough on the outside, soft on the inside kind of girl. T3-M4: Yamaha DX-7. Bao Dur: believe it or not, i think Joaquin Phoenix can nail this role. Darth Nihilis: whatever. Blarghagh Posted February 14, 2005 Share Posted February 14, 2005 Judi Dench for Kreia is an amazingly good choice. Kudos to whoever first suggested it. Also, Kelly Hu for Visas is a no-brainer. She's a good actress, she does the voice to begin with, and she's a good martial artist. I'm going to go off on a limb here and suggest Ryan Reynolds for Atton. He was the only thing that made Blade: Trinity watchable. Ron Perlman for Canderous/Mandalore. The man is just too awesome. That's all I have so far.
