This is a site with a test to determine where you stand politicly. Its not as elaborate as one would wish buts its one of the better ones out there. I dont consider myself anything so its fun to see what these things say(this one did place me almost ideologicly similar to Ghandi).

Does anyone know of any other similar sites or tests? it would be nice to get "a second opinion".

DISCLAIMER: Do not take what I write seriously unless it is clearly and in no uncertain terms, declared by me to be meant in a serious and non-humoristic manner. If there is no clear indication, asume the post is written in jest. This notification is meant very seriously and its purpouse is to avoid misunderstandings and the consequences thereof. Furthermore; I can not be held accountable for anything I write on these forums since the idea of taking serious responsability for my unserious actions, is an oxymoron in itself.

Important: as the following sentence contains many naughty words I warn you not to read it under any circumstances; botty, knickers, wee, erogenous zone, psychiatrist, clitoris, stockings, bosom, poetry reading, dentist, fellatio and the department of agriculture.

there was a really good one we linked to through misstresslair a while back, though that was before her boards started crashing causing a loss of old data. it tested 8 or so different areas and each had 50 or so questions. extremely detailed and actually pretty correct. not just right/left, but it would associate a number based on your individualism, collectivism, nationalism, etc.

not surprisingly enough, all of my scores were over 90% in one direction or the other, and most were 98% or greater (a 50% in any area indicated neutral opinion on the matter). i.e. my views are extreme (hmm, die-hard is a better term) and quite consistent. the outcome, actually, put me squarely in the middle, politically speaking and referred me to the libertarian boards (they have a dozen or so forums for each of the "classifications" that crop up)...

The questions are too simplified for the test to yield an accurate result. From what I've seen you would have to be authoritarian by nazi standards to be portrayed as 'righty' by the test. Feh.

well the use of words are sometimes a little geared towards a particular answer ..

"It is regrettable that many personal fortunes are made by people who simply manipulate money and contribute nothing to their society."

words like "manipulate" and "contribute nothing" triggers a negative respons in most people ..

"Governments should penalise businesses that mislead the public."

"mislead" in this context isn't very positive either ..

and I'm a

I took this one a while ago, but it put me really far left, with a libertarian/authoritarian score close to 0.

I've always sort of considered myself somewhat as either cautious socialist

or a trade union anarchist, depending on the people's want for or against a national government, but I've always believed in state's rights I guess I'm flexable

People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
