Craftsman Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Age of Empires 3 Battlefield 2 Brothers in Arms Call of Cthulhu Doom 3 Expansion Duke Nukem Forever Elder Scrolls 4 Empire Earth 2 F.E.A.R. FF vs The Third Reich - Guild Wars - GTA: San Andreas KotOR 2 Project Snowblind Quake 4 S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SWAT 4 TeamFortress2 The Movies The Matrix Online Republic Commando Any more?
Volourn Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Huh? Out of that entire list, there's only one game I plan to buy... Hmm.. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
NeverwinterKnight Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 a great year ahead of us? most, if not all, those games you listed have already been released. shouldnt that be a great year behind us?
213374U Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Duke Nukem Forever If you say so... - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
Judge Hades Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 ]Age of Empires 3 Don't care. Battlefield 2 Not a CRPG. Brothers in Arms Never heard of it. Call of Cthulhu First person view sucks. Doom 3 Expansion Worthless FPS. Duke Nukem Forever Was relevant 10 years ago. Elder Scrolls 4 Worthless eye candy and no substance, like TES3. Empire Earth 2 Not a CRPG. F.E.A.R. Never heard of that one either. FF vs The Third Reich Superheroes suck. Guild Wars Diablo MMORPG wannabe. GTA: San Andreas Worthless action fest. KotOR 2 No challenge equals no fun. Project Snowblind Never heard of this one either. Quake 4 Read Doom 3 expansion. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Dues Ex wannabe. SWAT 4 Never heard of the first 3. TeamFortress2 An irrelevant shooter. The Movies Can we say lame. The Matrix Online Neo is dead. Deal with it. Republic Commando Another lame Star Wars game. Any more? I hope not. We need good games to be released.
Volourn Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 "Worthless eye candy and no substance, like TES3." Yet, you managed to play it for 400 hours. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Craftsman Posted January 17, 2005 Author Posted January 17, 2005 I think hades is in some serious need of female loving. So much hate
jaguars4ever Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Most of those games are mediocre or crap though.
Oerwinde Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Of that list, 2 games actually interested me. Forgot Suikoden 4 too. Though apparently its not as good as 3. As long as its better than Suikoden 1 I'm happy though. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Pidesco Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 The only ones of that list I'm interested in are F.E.A.R., FF vs The Third Reich, GTA and KOTOR2. The rest are either uninteresting or are not coming out next year. @Oerwinde: Suikoden 1 is one of the worst games I've ever played. What do you see in it? "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian tourist I am Dan Quayle of the Romans. I want to tattoo a map of the Netherlands on my nether lands. Heja Sverige!! Everyone should cuffawkle more. The wrench is your friend.
Green Lantern Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Only Freedom Force from the list is of interest to me. This is sad, as the trend continues where PC game development is being moved over to the consoles. I like consoles, but I just wish it didn't have such a negative impact on PC gaming. As for suikoden, I liked both 1 and 2 -- the games had a certain charm and memorable characters to boot.
Maedhros Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 The games I'm looking forward to this year are: The Legend of Zelda (Goty, I bet.)) Jade Empire Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Dynasty Warriors 5 AOE 3 Heroes of Might and Magic 5 Metal Gear Solid 3 Gran Turismo 4 Conker: Live and Reloaded Timesplitters 3

Darth Reven Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Well unlike apparently everone else i think most of those games look pretty good or are pretty good in the case of GTA and KotOR2. Oh and Hades have you ever even played GTA?
Judge Hades Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Yes. I wasn't impressed. All you do is run around, shoot and run over people. I found the game boring.
DSLuke Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Only KOTOR 2 seems a worthy title. And by the light of the moon He prays for their beauty not doom
Rosbjerg Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 I'll be looking forward to, from that list : KOTOR2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Call of Cthulhu, TeamFortress2, Battlefield 2 and GTA:SA .. Fortune favors the bald.

Drakron Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 I played GTA:SA and I got frustated with several missions ... there is a flaw in that game that simply tried to include too many things. (its a dancing sim, a racing sim, a flight sim, a dating sim ...)

(its a dancing sim, a racing sim, a flight sim, a dating sim ...) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Funny thing is that GTA:SA did those things better than most games just dedicated to one of those things you mentioned....

What do you see in it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Suikoden 1 is the worst Suikoden, mediocre game, but has a special place in my heart because it launched the Suikoden series, which gave us Suikoden 2, the best console RPG of all time. Fair enough. Maybe I'll give it a go. The best console RPG I've played is Tales of Phantasia. Question: How did Suikoden even get a sequel? mkreku Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Isn't the sequel to The Longest Journey (called Dreamfall) coming out this year too? If it is, that's also one game to look forward to. Gothic 3 if it comes out this year (probably not). Dungeon Lords will come out this year. Soon.. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
