So, still same boring old gameplay which was introduced in AoE, but hasn't changed since?

If you didn't like the originals it's unlikely you'll like this new one.

Sure, they could abandon what came before and model the new game on others in the genre, game that you like, but that would be stupid.

AoE was great, I played it to death. AoK was more of the same, so I thought it was okay. AoM was even more of the same, and by then I was getting pretty tired of that style of gameplay. You could play AoE1 and - except for the graphics - there wouldn't even be that much difference. It's a series that has evolved too little imo.

I hope they keep the ambiant sound quality as good as the others were for there time. When they first 2 came out there were stunningly emersive games, due largly because of the graphics, and ambiance.

Good stuff. I must admit I didnt like the Age of Mythology spin off, lets hope these one keeps true to the AOE standard. :)

I liked RoN better than the AoE series...

RoN was much more fun and fast paced game. (it also had nukes :D )
