Nobody Becomes a Jedi... What Did I Do Wrong?

Recommended Posts

I finally completed my first run through KotOR2 last night, ending totally maxed out on light side. Though I tried to finish all the little side quests before getting swept away in the endgame, I never did re-establish the new fuel source, I never did get to rid of G0T0 (or get through the hutts locked door, or use the dog's feeding dish for whatever, etc.), I never did find the place where the HKs were being built, etc.

And the ending certainly left me with more than a few questions -- What was with the threatened conflict between the Remote and G0T0 over blowing up the planet? Now that Mira defeated her wookie hunter, what happens to her? How did the Ebon Hawk get out of that pit? I kind of feel like I may have missed something important.

So I browse the forums a bit to see what I've missed... And O MY GOSH! You guys turned some of your followers into JEDI?!?!? I never came across anything like that in the game. I spoke with all of my followers multiple times, and on only one occasion did I lose influence (with Mandalore, who thought I was too nice to some weak guy because I spared his life). Atton, Visas, the Handmaiden, my Tech Specialist... even my little T3 unit... they all maxed out Light Side with me. I was very careful to switch around which characters I used on different missions (which seemed to be important to gain influence). By the time I was done, it seemed like everyone had opened up their backstory to me. I didn't do much Swoop racing, but I figured that wouldn't affect the plot too much...

But turn them into Jedis? How did I miss that?

I'm going to go back and play through the game again (probably darkside this time, just for variety). I want to make sure I don't miss this next time...

There are key moments where a new dialogue option will become available. You just have to take your time and keep gaining influence and talk to the party member after every time you level. Some are easier than others, and some require certain conditions be met before they allow you to train them in the ways of Jedi.
