Has anyone else read this? You get to it by going to gameplay on the main site, then strategy, then clicking on the boxart. It opens a chapter of the strategy guide if you have adobe acrobat.

You get a prestige class when you reach level 15 and attract Visas Marr to your party, it says. What does that imply?

It says you're eligible when you reach lvl 15 not that you necessarily have to take it. And it implies that Visas Marr is the last NPC you gain (at least in my mind). Then Kreia trains you in your new class.

Somewhere else it said you got a prestige class when you took on an apprentice. I thought there was more than one apprentice option.

 

Frustrating idea: buy KOTOR2 guide. Still does not name Handmaiden's character in the guide. That would be so sad it would almost be funny.

No. At level 3 I did not obtain any feats. So I think that there will be some levels where you do not get any feats.

What on earth is a "prestige sense"? Jedi Master seems quite disappointing, no? I expected quicker FP recovery and your powers becoming practically irresistible. Instead we get 2 boring and fairly "nebulously" described powers... I

 

wouldn't have thought so, but as per Prima's description, Watchman seems more worthwhile. LS Consular with maxed Wis and Cha + Stun Force tree + Sneak attack... Yum. I don't exctly see why Watchman is made weaker than Assassin - ori s there some other feat/power the guide didn't mention that compensates for the lack of 3 levels of Sneak attack?

A "prestige class" is a term from the d20 rules system. You have core classes, like Soldier, Scout, Tech Specialist, Jedi Guardian, Jedi Consular, &c. Prestige classes in Pen and Paper d20 have prerequisites, usually in the form of a base attack bonus, base save, feat, skill, or special requirement. The PrC (Prestige class!) usually offers greater specialization in a certain area of expertise at the cost of being less effective in other areas. They're usually 5 or 10 levels, though some are more or less in number.

 

For example, in Dungeons and Dragons, you have a PrC called Archmage. (This is SRD stuff, so no problems quoting it here.) It requires a certain number of feats, skills, and spells in your spellbook. The PrC allows you to trade spell level slots for additional powers. These range from dealing more damage, to substituting elemental damage (you could have a fireball deal cold damage instead, for example) to making an area effect spell only affect your enemies.

 

The archmage loses those spell slots permanently, however, and the class is expensive in terms of feats.

Yeah, I'm a little bit annoyed that they are calling these classes PrC's. I read somewhere that you can enter into any of them that you want which.....well, takes away the "prestige" part. I could be a Guardian and then a Sith Lord. That makes no sense. You should have some sort of requirements. Oh well. Enough griping from me.

does anyone kno if u can choose to be a sith lord or sith maruader if ur aligned with the lightside, i follow the light side but i think its funny to use against the sith their own powers, although this time im just doin what i feel like

Thankyou for the information as I could not down load the info form the PDF for some reason as I do not have the game yet because the game ain't released till Feburary here but I have copied and pasted the info onto my computer for future release in Feb when I get the game.
