Most employees at Obsidian had no involvement in Lionheart and the ones that did the involvement was light at most. Reflexive made their own choices in the game as to how to make it. Most of the employees at Obsidian had nothing to do with Lionheart either. Go take a look at MobyGames. For designers, I think only Avellone was involved. For art, Brian Menze was involved. Making paranoid-like assumptions why they could deliver a sucky game and why they should fail or not is NOT in your's or mine hands, nor is it really appropriate to make assumptions why someone would want to crush OE. Okay Feargus and Chris Parker were involved as well but Feargus's involvement was probably slight and they left before the game shipped as well. Hmm... So three of Obsidian's founders were involved in some form with Lionheart. Still the majority of the blame should go on Reflexive and perhaps on Interplay management for releasing it.
