Few suggestion

Recommended Posts

heres a list of things id like to see in kotor2

maybe some jedi battle armour, like armour that lets you use force powers or increases your force ability, but make quests to aquire it, hard one, to make it a challenge

being able to create your own custom weapon, and even name it. that would be kinda cool, make loads of different parts so its hard to get the same one twice

no dominant weapon. the double bladed saber was way too powerful

have guns be more useful. in the first game, you didnt have to use them at all!

maybe a plot twist as one of your party members a traitor

bigger levels

maybe a 'public transport' in the game if the levels are bigger

those are just some things id like to see

While some of these thoughts have been posted previously on other threads I have to say I agree with them all. Particularly the part about the double-bladed saber. I just vented all my rage about that weapon on a seperate thread, but man it irritates me how over-used it was!!!!

Here is my suggestions:

1. Longer effective range for guns:

I am a blaster lover. even after my PC became a jedi, I still use blasters quite often. There are two problem that is quite annoying for me: a. the blasters are not powerful as stated above. b. the effective range is TOO SHORT! I found that usually my PC can only fire 2~3 shots before the opponents move within 1 meter range and wave their melee weapons, and my PC uses two blaster pistols to made that much shots! :p

2. More differences between each weapon type:

This one is especially for guns. I found that the rifle's range is only 5 meters longer than pistols and the damage they can cause are the same, which is not reasonable. The rifles should be able to shoot much longer than pistols or do more damage than pistols. Otherwise, why use the rifles? Pistols are small, easier to carry and hide, and can do the same damage as rifles! <_<

What I want to say is to make rifles and reapeating blasters/cannons shoot much longer than pistols, and make the rifles and heavy weapons do more damage than they were in the first game.

3. More weapons:

Let's say portable proton torpedo launcher could be useful in some occasion, or maybe some shotgun type weapons that don't shoot far but cause great damage to those who stand in a small area. :p

I just come up with some suggestions:

a. Upgrades for Ebon Hawk:

Yeah... I mean "UPGRADES"!

Say, mines that can wipe out sith fighters or shield upgrades to make us harder to kill..... Just something that could add some spice during the turret fight.

b. Joinable sub-factions or stronghold quests:

Some other sides (not just republic / sith) to join, which may have their own allegiance to either side or none. They also offer some quests fo pc to gain access to their faction and some premium equiptment. The sub-factions also offer their connections and we will be able to get more options/paths for the main story.

Stronghold quest are the same, except it's class based. (Just like those in BG2)

c. More plannets/Space stations/Capital ships:

7 plannets for main story is fine, but I prefer to see some other places that have big side quests. The Yavin space station was not good, it's too small and the quests are small and boring. I think a place like the size of Taris and some side quests there will be great.

i would like to see alot more attention to pod racers. i want to be able to build a racer and add parts to it. ;))

Oh God please no.

I disliked the swoop racing as it was. More options/additions means more swoop racing.

A:

I don't really care if we can upgrade our ship, it would be nice if we could buy or steal a ship of our own but it does not matter enough to me, though it probably will to other people.

B:

This would be a nice addition, however in Star Wars their is never much of a third party to speak of, there is only black or white, rebellion or empire, republic or sith. That is what the whole setting is about. Perhaps you could join the exchange as a smuggler or some other faction, but it probably won't happen.

Strongholds are already in the game after a fashion, your ship is your stronghold, now we just need some quests and activity to go along with it.

C:

More planets are nice, but I would be happy with more areas on the planets to explore, like Taris. More ship stuff like the Leviathian is a good idea.

I would also like to see you forced to rely on your party members' skills much more, once I got Juhani on my side I wandered around with three jedi the whole game, it got pretty boring because I could use persuade or lightsabers to solve everything, it would be nice if there were some quests that could be made much easier by using NPC or PC skills rather than brute force.

My suggestion is use the massive damage rules. If you take damage greater than the Character's Constitution score you need to make a DC 15 Fortitude save or be dropped to 0 hit points. Mind you droids are immune to this rule... hee hee hee.

That would make it more interesting I think, but the console people would not like it much in my opinion.

Great idea about the upgrades to the 'Hawk. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but they already said that they didn't plan to make the 'Hawk upgradeable. <_< But maybe if enough people cry about it...

They still won't do it ;) :D :D

I was thinking about those blasters/rifles/pistols (long range weapons) and how useless they were in KotOR.. How about if they had a knockback function to them? Everytime you hit someone in the face with a blaster they'd be sent back a few meters? That way the melee enemies wouldn't be all over you in 2 seconds after the battle started. Or perhaps if guns could momentarily stun opponents? Or just knock them off their feet? That might work to make long range weapons a bit more useful..

yeah ur right about that, I never used in Kotor long range weapons beacause they were so useless compared to lightsaber (blaster deflection capabilities) or even than the vibroblades style (more fast and more damage)

That knock back thingy will not be so useful since itsn't realistic, maybe the stun one or (if u got heavy blaster defense or melee armor) the knock off ur feet would be better...

I have an idea. Maybe the developers can put in a luxury liner, which is like the one in the movie "the fivth element". There are casino, theatre, observation deck, bar and more on the ship, and we can go there any time.

Knockback seems unnatural, but is a great idea if only some special guns have this ability.

BTW, I wish the developers can make anyone who is caught by the grenade blast be knocked down. I think it is a wonder to see people who can run as usual after they are caught by blast...

:)

I know a lot of us feel the double bladed saber was way over used, and it was. However I doubt the devs are going to change it since it's probably already a part of the game. Maybe in the third game the staff saber wont be so over used.
