Poor old Italy, hasn't been the same in WCs since finishing behind New Zealand in 2010. (Here, all the other Oceania nations voted to hold our tournament outside the international window, which really made me laugh. I have always been an Azzuri fan but damn...they missed one penalty which sent them straight to playoffs. Meanwhile, my country(Iran) has qualified. I can't find the link now, but the BBC pointed out some structural problems that has existed for several years now. Winning the UEFA Championship masked these problems for a while, but then they returned with a vengeance.
