I find it funny how they call out EPIC in closing, not because of something EPIC has done, but because it exists.

In the least surprising story of 2021, Bethesda is rereleasing Skyrim yet again with the Anniversary edition. I have purchased this game exactly 1 time in total. Previously, I had thought this was the sane thing to do, but given how many people have purchased this game again and again and again, maybe I'm the crazy one?

I only care about one elder scroll question:

Will I be able to import my children from Skyrim into the next game as player characters or super important, unkillable NPCs?

Melk do you know I have never played Skyrim but its been on my Steam game library since its release....2011

But I have always had every intention to play it and I will. That is why I replayed Morrowind and will be replaying Oblivion, just to get back into the " Elder Scrolls " mood

Anyway I have started preparing myself for my Skyrim experience, I have downloaded 254 Mods and I sometimes review them and remove some of them. So I am committed 8)

Some members may be aware that I generally  support Romance in games but really only  in RPG. Romance is just part of party or companion interaction but its not as important as things like quests, party member quests,  combat, lore or the narrative

Anyway this link made me laugh because it discusses the worst Romance implementations in games ...and some of these these are hilarious because they so silly

Getting the game to run without those mods conflicting will be the most exciting thing you do with Skyrim.

Nice visuals though

Agreed. I like the concept, it's just the name... If you're going to go that edgelord go all the way and call it ExeKiller_69.

Visuals yes, but the animations are ugh.

And that Succubus game really pissed me off when I played that demo thingy. It was just so stupid random. Ducks flaying around, some scene with babies and the worst offender was cutting open a pregnant woman to get to the fetus -- not because you were cutting open a pregnant woman, but because the whole scene was setup in such a stupid and lazy way, it only existed to make people talk about the game and nothing else. Like, you just walk down a corridor, get into some lazy mob/wave combat scene, continue the corridor and then in the middle of it in front of your next gate, there is this scene. It's just so pointless, no meaning behind it at all.

Skyrim has been my forever-game since it came out.  I'll probably skip this edition.  I'm super anal about what mods I use and the idea of 500(!) random bits of Creation Club bull**** being plastered all over the place is off putting.  Still, never say never, if the engine has any interesting changes I might be tempted.  What I really want is a new edition of Fallout 4 that fixes the atrocious performance when shadows are cranked up.

In other news, I tried the new version of Quake and it's sodding brilliant.  Perfect.  Love it.  Loooooove it.

And people wonder why it's taking forever to get GTA6 and TES6. Why would Rockstar or Bethesda bother making another game when they can just sell the previous game again and again and people keep buying them?
