@Mamoulian WarAre Tales games self-contained? Can you just jump into the series anywhere, or do you need to play previous titles for backstory?

Most of them are self-contained. It is action-rpg equivalent of Final Fantasy. There are currently only three direct sequels. Xillia 1 and 2, Destiny 1 and 2 and Symphonia with Dawn of the New World. And one very close tie-ins for Zestiria and Berseria (same world but 1000 years appart) and very loose tie-in between Phantasia and Symphonia games. Of course a lot of these games have cameo battles and cameo minigames, which are inspired by previous games, but you do not need to know the backstory to be successful at them. You can randomly pick a game from the big number of titles, and can have fun with it, without any prior knowledge. My only recommendations would be, that do not start with second game from the three twins, I've mentioned.

I have randomly picked Tales of Graces F on sale in local brick store, and was so impressed, that I have slowly purchased all the titles available in Europe. Including one Vita exclusive game, for which I've purchased PlayStation TV 😄 If you would be interested in trying out the franchise, I can help you out, which game to pick first :)

I won't dismiss it simply because it's a mobile game, though it being a mobile game doesn't exactly inspire me with confidence. Good mobile games exist, they're rare, but they do exist.

Also at 15th July will be released WH40k: Battlesector, I've seen few preview videos, and my first impressions are great, this has the potential to become the best WH40k game released. Now the throne is IMHO in the hands of Mechanicus. I am really curious, how this plays out...

Nice trailer music, hopefully some 40k fan is upset they didn't use death metal.  Will wait for a sale on it, myself.

Huh. If you backed Solasta, the 1.0-ish version is available for you to play (Steam only). You should get an email with information on how to access it.

I am generally, against giving backers special treatment, but I have been eager to check it out for a while. Last time I played it was kickstarter demo. I have been happy with everything I have seen and heard about it so far.

People keep paying for them, so is a good move I guess.  Added bonus for me are gamers whinging about people making stuff they dislike :P

I initially panicked when I saw this title but after reading the article they arent going to stop making the normal games I enjoy like AC and Far Cry. To quote

UPDATE: Ubisoft has told VGC its free-to-play push “does not mean” it will release less premium games.

So the title is misleading because they not going to focus on free games but rather add more free games to their gaming catalogue ....phewwwww....crisis over

Sounds edgelord-y, but I'm still curious.

It's from the same devs who made Tower of Time, and honestly, it looks like it's going to be really interesting.  It was on my radar because it was originally supposed to be turn-based (they apparently changed their minds on that early in development) but it still seems to be going in a good direction.  Tower of Time was really good gameplay wise, but was a bit threadbare on the story, while this looks like it's more story focused (although there's supposed to be random generated world events or somesuch.)

Still, it seems like the company actually cares about the games they're making, not just making money, so here's hoping it turns out good.

Tales of Destiny Director's Cut fan translation group Life Bottle Production, got their trailer for BETA of their project. Patch is still missing very few menus well hidden in the original files and some synopsis, but everything else should be at 100% now. So if you love jRPG history, and was sad, that this game was never oficialy translated to English, and all of the fan translation efforts ended up cancelled, you have now chance to finally play it in English :)

I am proud, that I was part of the effort in the beginning of the project, while I still had some time to make Arte and Enemy matching with official Bamco Translations :) So in the final patch, you might find me in the credits as well 😛
